    Job Summary

    • A Hotel Chef is responsible for the planning, preparation, and supervision of all food production in the hotel.
    • They ensure meals are delicious, safe, well-presented, and prepared according to hotel standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare and cook meals for guests (restaurant, room service, events, buffet, etc.)

    Responsibilties

    Hotel Night Auditor

    Job Summary

    • A Hotel Night Auditor is the staff member who works overnight and is responsible for both front desk duties and financial reconciliation for the day.
    • Think of them as the person who “closes the books” for the hotel each night while keeping the hotel running smoothly.

    This is the main duty

    • Review all transactions from the day (room charges, restaurant bills, bar sales, etc.)
    • Verify that all postings to guest accounts are correct.
    • Balance cash, POS, and card payments.
    • Compare front office records with accounting records.
    • Identify and report any errors or discrepancies.
    • Run the Night Audit process in the hotel system to close the business day.
    • Post late charges (mini-bar, room service, laundry, etc.).
    • Ensure all guest folios are accurate before checkout.
    • Prepare bills for early morning departures.
    • Since the night shift has fewer staff, the Night Auditor also acts as the front desk officer.
    • Check in late-arriving guests.
    • Check out early departures.
    • Handle guest requests and complaints during the night.
    • Answer phone calls and respond to emergencies.
    • Print and prepare daily management reports (occupancy, revenue, arrivals, departures).
    • Send financial and operational summaries to management.
    • Prepare cashier reports for each shift.
    • Monitor who enters and leaves the hotel at night.
    • Work with security staff to ensure guest safety.
    • Report any suspicious activity or incidents.
    • Ensure credit cards are authorized.
    • Confirm billing instructions for company or long-stay guests.
    • Handle cash drop and safe balancing.
