    Lead, Cloud Security

    Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
    Department: Technical
    Job Type: Permanent

    Responsibilities

    • The Lead, Cloud Network & Security will ensure that applications and infrastructure are implemented to the highest security standards, thus maintaining and enhancing customer trust.
    • He/ She will participate in security audits, security log analysis, risk analysis, vulnerability testing and security reviews on all MainOne IPNGN infrastructures

    Specifically, other responsibilities include:

    • Identify security issues, risks and develop mitigation plans while working closely with the information security officer, CISO, ISMS Manager and Risk Managers.
    • Configure, harden, & install Cisco firewalls, routers & switches.
    • Secure network by enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access.
    • Plan and appraise ongoing assessment of antivirus, application control, firewall, SIEM, VPN, SSL, intrusion detection or intrusion prevention and other network component policies
    • Maintain network security devices to enable pro-active defence of networks within a managed service SOC environment, providing protective monitoring to multiple commercial customers
    • Manage multiple perimeter firewalls to include Application level firewalls.
    • Participate in security compliance efforts (e.g., PCIDSS, ISO27001 and SOC2)
    • Implementing security engineering technologies and supporting processes for strategic projects.
    • Participate in tier 2 and tier 3 security operation support
    • Participate in incident handling.
    • Directly managed assigned team.
    • Other tasks assigned by the Cloud Operations Manager.

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Management or related engineering field is preferred
    • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in large complex information security and Cloud services with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role.
    • Strong written and verbal skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong understanding of a process driven environment.
    • Strong customer service experience and orientation required.
    • Understanding and manage the pressure of a 24x7 customer support environment.
    • Availability to work extra hours in times of emergency and specialized project deliveries.
    • Knowledge of network routing protocols e.g. EIGRP, OSPF, BGP.
    • Strong knowledge of security protocols and implementations: TCP/IP, IPSEC VPN, SSLVPN, etc.
    • Strong experience with Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve systems problems and issues.
    • Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and application security.
    • Knowledge of network and web related protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols).
    • Must have at least one of the following certificates: CCNA (Security), CCNP, CCNP (Security), CISSP, Cisco Cybersecurity Specialist, CCIE Security.

    Vendor Management Supervisor

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for key strategic supplier selection and contract negotiations relating to the service network (including international, backhaul and last mile network services).
    • Developing sourcing strategies.
    • Source suppliers
    • Often on an international basis, negotiate and manage contracts and build key relationships with both suppliers and the internal teams.
    • Proactively drive enforcement of strategy, identification and realization of savings opportunities to create a competitive advantage for the business and mitigate supply risks.
    • Ensure forecasts are shared and weekly/monthly capacity plans are created.
    • Supplier governance initiatives and relationship management through regular reviews, visits and supplier audits. Perform supplier business, financial reviews on quarterly performance and strategic business direction. Analyze issues at supply market level and supply chain level.
    • Undertake market research including potential suppliers and competitive offerings and pricing.
    • Develop and maintain a robust and centralized system for call off services with key suppliers.
    • Working on the tendering process for obtaining goods or services.
    • Leads escalation resolutions as it relates to the managed vendors in terms of risk, pricing and performance up to senior executive levels

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
    Qualification:

    • Relevant experience with a BA or MS in a relevant discipline, with at least 7 years of direct external facing experience.
    • MBA preferred or relevant experience
    • Relevant experience typically includes externally facing vendor management, Supply Chain & outsourcing, process improvement, and program development
    • Strong understanding of Towerco, Data Centre and Connectivity Products in the ISP/Telecom Sector
    • Familiarity with operational process designs
    • Experience leading a team

    • Shows clear ability to apply critical thinking, strategy development, and vision towards the growth of the Vendor management Portfolio, while also overseeing the day-to-day execution in a high volume and fast paced environment.

    Demands of the Job:

    • The candidate will be responsible for sourcing of products and services including, Collocation services for network expansions, metro service and International circuits to expand MainOne network footprints.
    • The candidate is expected to be aware of the Telecom landscape and technicalities of the products in addition to the commercial acumen to negotiate complex contracts with little or no supervision.
    • The candidate should have the ability to design an optimal cost methodology and sourcing plans for the best competitive plans in the region.
    • The candidate will be resident in Lagos and will be responsible for the commercial strategy for the company International and West Africa sourcing plans.
    • Ability and willingness to work long hours and meet tight deadlines.

    Lead, Cloud Infrastructure

    Responsibilities

    • The Lead, Cloud Infrastructure will be responsible for providing Second level support to MainOne cloud customers and overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the cloud infrastructure and effectively communicating with all stakeholders on pertinent matters including - but not limited to - software deployment, upgrades, system setup, system administration, monitoring, configuration, change management, and monitoring, capacity planning, availability management, disaster recovery and routine update of services. 
    • He/ She will also assist with developing processes to manage operations, technical standards, and architecture development.
    • The Lead, Cloud Infrastructure is also expected to manage operations in line with best practice for the maintenance and support of our Cloud platforms and customer services.

    The specific responsibilities include:

    • Ensure day to day operations and maintenance of the Cloud Infrastructure
    • Making sure that customer SLAs are met, periodical customer reports and updates are sent
    • Provide timely L2 issue resolutions and support to Cloud customers
    • Ensure 24 X 7 operations of Cloud Services, Disaster Recovery, Scanning and Archiving, Data Repository, and Remote Operations Services.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed asset inventory records, Configuration Management and Change Management processes for all Cloud Services.
    • Ensure successful backup and/or replication of Customer Data in a secure manner.
    • Contribute and enhance Security policies and procedures for Cloud Services.
    • Implement System Management Tools to provide monitoring and management of all Cloud infrastructures
    • Conduct Research and development (R&D) activities that comprise of creative work undertaken on a systematic basis in order to increase knowledge of technologies and services
    • Identify, recommend, and implement potential improvements to service efficiency.
    • Conduct System Outage Analysis to prevent recurrence.
    • Directly manage assigned team.

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Management or related engineering field is preferred.
    • Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in large complex information systems and Cloud services with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role.
    • At least two (2) years’ supervisory experience of IT Service management, data center, server, and storage management, virtualization, networking and systems management.
    • Experience with Microsoft Azure public, private and hybrid Cloud is a must have.
    • Must have strong Windows/Linux/Unix skills.
    • Certifications in Microsoft Azure, AWS, Network, Linux, Hyper-V, Windows Server, Microsoft System Centre, VMware, Storage, and other Cloud Technologies are an added advantage.
