    Storekeeper

    A storekeeper in a mobile phones, accessories and Solar sales business manages inventory, ensures accurate stock records, and fulfills orders for sales staff. They oversee deliveries, prevent stockouts of high-demand items, track product warranties, and maintain a secure, organized stockroom to support daily operations and prevent theft.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels for mobile phones, chargers, screen guards, accessories and Solar (Energy) products.
    • Proactively place orders to avoid shortages of fast-moving items.
    • Shipping and Receiving: Inspect incoming stock for physical damage, verify quantities against delivery notes, and reject defective or incorrect items.
    • Stock Organization: Arrange products systematically by brand, model, and accessory type for easy retrieval by sales floor employees. 
    • Record Keeping: Log all incoming and outgoing stock using inventory management software.
    • Maintain accurate paper trails for audits.
    • Quality & Security: Ensure all sensitive electronic devices are stored in secure, temperature-controlled environments. Track IMEI/serial numbers for high-value smartphones to prevent theft.
    • Returns and Defectives: Manage the process for defective items by properly tagging them and facilitating vendor returns or warranty claims.
    • Regular Audits: Conduct routine physical inventory counts (e.g., weekly or monthly) and reconcile them with system records to investigate and resolve discrepancies.  

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Education: HND/B.Sc/BA with backgrounds in Logistics, Business Administration, or Computer Science are highly preferred. 
    • Technical Proficiencies: Strong working knowledge of basic spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets) or specialized Inventory Management Software.
    • Ability to lift cartons, organize storage spaces, and spend long hours on your feet. Communication Skills: Clear communication for coordinating with suppliers, sales managers, and front-line sales representatives.
