Commercial / Supply Chain Specialist at VMAX Tea & Coffee Ltd

Job Summary

We are looking for a Commercial / Supply Chain Specialist in Lagos to develop suppliers, select and test SKUs, negotiate quotations, manage inventory and contract performance, and support profitable product growth for e-commerce and live commerce channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, contact, evaluate, and onboard local suppliers in Nigeria.
• Support SKU selection, product testing, price comparison, quotation negotiation, and margin analysis.
• Track supplier performance, delivery reliability, product quality, and contract fulfillment.
• Coordinate inventory planning, replenishment, shortage alerts, and slow-moving stock follow-up.
• Maintain supplier records, product lists, cost information, and contract documents.
• Work with content, live operations, and sales teams to ensure product availability for campaigns.
• Build early warning mechanisms for out-of-stock risk, low-margin SKUs, and supplier delays.

Requirements

• Experience in procurement, supply chain, vendor management, merchandising, retail, FMCG, or e-commerce.
• Familiar with local supplier sourcing and negotiation in Lagos or wider Nigeria.
• Strong commercial sense, cost awareness, and basic margin calculation ability.
• Organized and detail-oriented with good follow-up habits.
• Good English communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with inventory tools is an advantage.

Daily KPIs

• Number of new suppliers added.
• Number of SKUs tested and effective SKUs confirmed.
• Core SKU margin, contract fulfillment, and shortage data.
• SKU GMV and supplier performance follow-up.
