- Reporting to the Theatre Head of Department, the Nurse Anesthetist provides continuous medical care before, during and after operations. The level of care necessitates a clear understanding and knowledge of the patient’s illness and state of health, all equipment, drugs, and techniques to be used. Meticulous preparation and vigilance are essential. She/he administers anesthesia and provides anesthesia-related care in collaboration and consultation with colleague nurse anesthetists or anesthesiologists in the OR.
Responsibilities
Performs pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation.

- Check and prepare supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedure.
- Ensure that the theater has been cleaned before surgical instruments are opened up.
