Reporting to the Director of Administration, the Information Technology (IT) Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s technology infrastructure. The IT Manager will oversee IT systems, networks, and security, ensure smooth daily operations, manage IT staff, and support digital transformation. The role also involves aligning technology solutions with business goals and ensuring compliance with IT standards and data security regulations.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily IT operations including networks, servers, systems, and applications.
Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational goals.
Manage IT infrastructure upgrades, cybersecurity measures, and disaster recovery plans.
Supervise IT staff, provide leadership, and ensure continuous capacity building.
Monitor system performance and ensure high availability, reliability, and security.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, software, and hardware solutions.
Ensure compliance with IT regulations, data protection laws (e.g., NDPR, GDPR), and organizational policies.
Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement of technology resources.
Provide technical support and training to staff to enhance IT literacy.
Lead IT-related projects from planning to execution and evaluation.
Prepare reports on IT performance, risks, and system improvements for management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Master’s Degree (MBA, MSc IT, or related) is an added advantage, especially for leadership or strategic roles.
National Youth Service or Exemption Certificate.
Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), CompTIA Network+
3 years progressive experience in IT operations, system administration, or IT project management.
Prior experience in supervisory/managerial roles.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Knowledge of IT governance, compliance, and data protection laws
Demonstrated decision-making skills in an organizational environment
Proven communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with management and employees; collaborate on teams and develop positive working relationships
Proficiency in managing enterprise systems (databases, servers, ERP, HRIS).
Strong communication and vendor management skills.
Ability to align IT strategies with organizational goals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to details
