Job Summary 

Responsible for implementing and enforcing company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies across the facility. Conducts safety inductions for new staff, tenants, and contractors, while ensuring compliance with PPE usage and work permit regulations. Oversees environmental compliance, waste management, and daily facility inspections to maintain safe and clean premises. Additionally, monitors security operations, fire safety systems, CCTV, and general housekeeping of common areas to support a secure and compliant working environment.

Responsibilities :

• Implement safety policies and procedures of the company
• Carry out Health and Safety Induction for new workers, Tenants and Staff.
• Responsible for Environmental Compliance and Waste Disposal on site and Staff Quarters.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) issuance and monitoring and ensure compliance to usage.
• Sub-contractors manpower recording and work permit registration and filing.
• Daily inspection of all facilities on the floors.
• File HSE reports and records.
• Notify the Facilities Manager if any HSE issues arise and report daily.
• Conduct and monitor contractors for compliance with PPE regulations, and follow the company safety program.
• Coordinate with other departments on all the new staff hired on-site.
• Responsible for the daily housekeeping maintenance of the locker room, toilet, and entrance access road (common areas).
• Oversee the security guards to ensure they are on their bits.
• Monitor the fire alarm systems and maintain all safety equipment.
• Monitor the CCTV footage when the need arises.
• Conduct safety induction for contractors on site.
• Inspect the facilities and ensure no contractor without an approved Work Permit is allowed to carry out any work.
• Daily record of all staff and tenants at the Premises for record purposes.
• Record, report, and investigate any form of incident/accident in the plaza

Experience : 

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in this position
• Knowledge of HSE regulations, standards and compliance

Educational Qualification: 

• A minimum of Higher National Diploma degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or a related field.

Professional Qualification: 

• HSE certifications (HSE 1,2,3)
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is added advantage

About the Role 

The Mailroom Officer is responsible for the secure, efficient, and accurate handling of all incoming and outgoing mail and parcels within the World Trade Center, Abuja. The role ensures proper logging, sorting, storage, and distribution of items while adhering to global security protocols, international best practices, and local postal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Mail & Parcel Handling 

• Receive, log, and process all incoming mail and parcels in the tracking system. 
• Verify details such as company name, recipient, suite/floor, and ensure accurate sorting. 
• Deliver letters to designated mailboxes daily 
• Notify tenants promptly of parcel arrivals and ensure secure handover. 

Secure Storage & Distribution 

• Safely store parcels, including high-value or diplomatic items, in secured cabinets. 
• Release mail and parcels only upon presentation of valid ID and signature. 
• Maintain proper custody records for special or sensitive deliveries. 

Outgoing Mail Operations 

• Collect and process outgoing mail daily (last collection at 4:00 PM). 
• Ensure items are properly labeled, stamped, and ready for dispatch etc. 

Qualifications & Skills 

Education: 

• OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Facility Management, or related field. 
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in mail handling, logistics, or facility operations. 

Skills & Competencies: 

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• Knowledge of mailroom operations and basic security protocols. 
• Customer service and communication skills. 
• Basic computer literacy (MS Office, mail tracking/logging systems). 
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality
