Group Head, Safety at Nepal Energy

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and highly competent Group Head, Safety to provide strategic leadership for Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) management across our growing operations.
• This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving safety culture, strengthening operational controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and embedding world-class safety standards across our downstream, midstream, marine, depot, terminal, retail, logistics, and infrastructure operations.

What You Will Do

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Group's HSSE strategy, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Drive a proactive safety culture across all business operations and locations.
• Provide oversight of depot, terminal, marine, logistics, retail, and project safety activities.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, statutory, and industry safety requirements.
• Lead incident prevention, investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Develop and monitor safety performance indicators and management reporting frameworks.
• Drive operational risk assessments, hazard identification, and control measures across all facilities.
• Provide safety leadership for vessel operations, product discharge activities, tank farm operations, truck loading, and product movement.
• Oversee emergency preparedness, response planning, drills, and business continuity initiatives.
• Manage relationships with regulators, emergency agencies, security agencies, and other external stakeholders.
• Lead safety audits, inspections, compliance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure contractor, vendor, and third-party compliance with Group safety standards.
• Support infrastructure development projects by embedding safety requirements throughout project execution and commissioning.
