About the role

 This is an opportunity to join the magic making hub at AltSchool Africa as a production Intern and put your creative skills to an impact-driven cause as you get to work within multiple areas of our content production process. You are the ideal candidate if you have the capability to exercise your multitasking abilities in the conceptualization of ideas, assisting with filming, editing and captioning of educational content.

You will be a great fit for this role if you are creative, have an unusual way of thinking and getting things done. You must be able to work on a tight schedule, meet deadlines, be organized and efficient in your work, be a good communicator and listener who pays close attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide support to the production team in preparation for shoot days and creation of content
• Assist with keeping production trackers and spreadsheets up-to-date
• Assist post-production team to ensure proper captioning for all content is achieved
• Work with art and creative teams to select audio, video, colors, animation, etc. for graphic design
• Carry out regular industry research as needed.
• Work collaboratively with other team and internal stakeholders to achieve set goals and deliverables
• Review internal cuts on videos and provide prompt feedback on cuts from editors
• Transcode video footage: create proxies and sync raw files; Backup footage to multiple hard drives

What we are looking for

• 3-5+ years experience  in customer facing roles/experience in leading a customer service team or process is a plus..
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment are required.

As a Customer Support Lead, you will provide high quality customer service to Altschool customers while ensuring smooth flow of inquiries and complaints through effectively managing our customer service team. This involves motivating, coaching, creating and implementing effective modes of operation that provide high quality customer services. Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the end to end online customer support team function/activities ensuring the company’s customers have easy access to information and resolution to complaints/issues
• Provide adequate support to team members through proper work scheduling, performance tracking and Quality Assurance across all customer interaction platforms (In-bound/outbound calls, emails, live-chat, Facebook, twitter, linkedin and instagram)
• Incharge of handling escalations and resolution ensuring exceptional customer experience at every touch point
• Prepare and provide reporting dashboard from customer’s feedback for top level insight and decision making
• Give recommendations to concerned stakeholder on product improvement

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced placement coordinator to provide our students with job placement and career services support while serving as an evangelist for our school programs at different career events and conferences. 

As a placement coordinator, you will serve as liaison and evangelist for AltSchool Africa students and prospective employers. You will be responsible for sourcing, identifying, and establishing suitable work placement opportunities for students, including coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of these work placements. You will make excellent connections with employers to maximize sustainable employment or other progression opportunities for students.

To excel in this role, you need to have tangible recruiting and relationship management experience that involves working with groups of early career starters, job seekers, recruiters, hiring managers or employers, establishing a connection based on their value proposition.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating placement programs that align with the company’s ‘Hire A Grad’ objectives.
• Manage interview scheduling and follow up on placements with engineers and hiring partners. 
• Identifying and driving outreaches to companies looking to hire entry-level engineers via Internships or direct placements.
• Lead the career service mission via job preparation, job search strategies, and culture fit through 1:1 or group workshops.
• Coordinating with cross-disciplined teams to make sure that all stakeholders are on track with Internship and Job placement timelines.
• Developing and managing new program strategies to support the ‘strategic accessibility to opportunities’ direction of the company. 
• Supporting the TalentQL recruitment team with the Hire-A-Dev Program leading to the placement of AltSchool Graduates.
• Identify and initiate hiring partnerships with Talent organizations that are able to deliver quality opportunities to the Pipeline program.
• Track the placement progress of all graduates, regularly check in, and provide adequate support.
• Effectively track Proof of Impact via placement programs.
• Identify and improve collaborative ways to improve the internal placement program processes.
• Launching and execution of different placement drive across all programs.
• Serve as a bridge between students and hiring partners.
