    Cultural Attaché (F/M) - French Embassy in Nigeria

    Synthetic description of the position

    • Under the authority of the Councilor of Cooperation and Cultural Action (COCAC), you design, animate and pilot the cultural cooperation policy of the post in relation to the orientations of public policy, to promote French expertise.

    Main activities

    This position is located in the’ antenna of the SCAC within the Consulate General of France in Lagos.

    In this context, you will need to :

    • Design, negotiate and implement bilateral cultural and artistic cooperation projects within the framework of the policy defined by the Embassy and the COCAC.
    • Define and implement an annual budget programming. Follow up actions financed from public appropriations, in particular as regards aid for cultural cooperation.
    • Develop relations with local authorities, French operators and with the beneficiaries of cultural cooperation actions.
    • To develop professional and social networks in order to promote the visibility of cultural cooperation. Seek funding and raise funds from public and private donors.

    Director (F/H) - Lagos

    Synthetic description of the position

    • Under the responsibility of the Board of Directors (CA) of the French’Alliance (AF) of Lagos, and under the authority of the cooperation and cultural action advisor (COCAC), you are responsible for the execution of the project of’establishment, the proper functioning and development of the’Alliance as well as the follow-up of all the actions that are carried out there, in compliance with local laws.
    • You regularly work with the (SCAC) cultural cooperation and action service, and especially with the Abuja-based cultural attache and the Lagos-based regional audiovisual attache.
    • Three months after taking up your post, you will be given your mission letter. No later than six months after taking office, you will be required to submit a proposed establishment and a plan of action'action submitted to the approval of the board of’ and targeted by the Embassy, which will cover the duration of your mission.

    Main activities

    • L’French Alliance of Lagos (AFL) is a leading cultural center on the continent located in a central and attractive area, with two locations in the city of Lagos (in Ikeja and Ikoyi). Its premises include 9 classrooms, 1 cinema, 1 gallery, 1 media library, 1 restaurant, etc, that allow the reception of 2,000 learners and more than 300 cultural events attended by about 50,000 people. In this context, you will have to organize regular meetings with the CA, organize the’ Ordinary General Assembly and ensure the democratic life of the’ by regularly renewing the members of the CA.
    • You will also need to ensure : preparation of the annual budget ; - the’animation of the team of management and team management, young and motivated :accompaniment of the or the future manager of’antane to accompany its development ) - the supervision of the buildings of the’implantation of’Ikoyi with its various teams in charge of security, parking, Eric Kayser franchise, maintenance, cleaning.

    Cooperation Officer (F/H) - Embassy of France in Nigeria

    • Under the authority of the Councilor of cooperation and cultural’action (COCAC), director of the’French Institute of Nigeria (IFN), France, you will follow the general areas of development cooperation and specifically humanitarian and civil society issues.
    • You will pilot cooperation in human rights and related subjects (genre/equality, death penalty, LGTB rights, torture, fight against human trafficking, etc.).

    Main activities

    Regional Audiovisual Officer (F/H) - Embassy of France in Nigeria

    Synthetic description of the position

    • Under the authority of the Cooperation and Cultural Action Advisor (COCAC), you pilot the cooperation policy in the field of cultural and creative industries (ICC), audiovisual’, cinema, etc, digital cultures, media development, the fight against disinformation and music in order to promote French’ expertise.
    • In your area of competence, in close contact with the COCACs and the relevant officers, you coordinate regional cooperation programmes and accompany the bilateral activities of the French institutes of Benin, from Cameroon, Ghana, and Togo.

    Main activities

    Your main missions are as follows :

    • propose, in liaison with the operators concerned, a cooperation and promotion strategy in your areas of expertise: cinema, animation, series, podcast, video games and e-sport, digital creation, regulatory monitoring (copyright), as well as music in coordination with the regional music sector project manager ;

    Cooperation Officer for French (F/H) - Embassy of France in Nigeria

    Synthetic description of the position

    • You will have to design, program and implement the educational cooperation policy in Nigeria. You will have to supervise the educational activity at the French Institute of Nigeria and replace the director.
    • You will be responsible for developing relationships with educational partners: ministries, Colleges of Education, schools, French-speaking representations. In conjunction with the national coordinator of the Alliances Françaises (AF), you will monitor the network (administrative aspects, development of the course offering and certifications, training, quality approach).

    Main activities

    • To the Service of cooperation and cultural action (SCAC) : Development, impetus and implementation of the cooperation strategy of the position in the field of’enseignement, diffusion and promotion of French. Animation and follow-up of actions in favor of the development of the’teaching of French in the French cultural and linguistic network (1 Institut Francais) and 10 Alliances Francais (referent SCAC des AF), organization and facilitation of training for teachers, follow-up of DELF authorizations and central management of DELF-DALF exams.     Director (F/H) - Rivers

    Synthetic description of the position

    • Under the joint authority of the Councilor of cooperation and cultural action (COCAC) and the Council of’administration (CA) of the French Alliance of Port Harcourt (AFPH), non-profit association under local law, is, you are responsible for the execution of the project of’establishment, while ensuring the proper functioning and development of the’Alliance as well as the follow-up of all the actions carried out there, in accordance with local laws. Three months after taking office you will be given your mission letter co-signed by the Directorate-General for Globalization (DGM), president of the Alliance Board and the Fondation des Alliances France.
