JOB DESCRIPTION

• Supervise a crew of custodians by interviewing prospects, providing training, creating schedules, assisting in performance management, and assigning individual tasks.

• Make decisions, under the direction of the manager, on proper equipment, techniques, chemicals, and maintenance of church buildings.

• Maintain discipline, performance, and morale among custodians.

• Monitor physical condition of all areas and reports maintenance and repair needs to manager.

• Initiate orders for custodial supplies and stay within budget.

• Perform custodial work including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, mopping; cleaning kitchen/cafeteria, restrooms, carpets and upholstery; and washing windows.

RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must hold a current / valid temple recommend

• Degree or certifications in custodial maintenance or related field preferred.

• Four (4) to six (6) years of custodial, maintenance, or related experience.

• Experience working in a temple will be an added advantage.

• Two to three years of supervisory experience.

• Thorough knowledge of custodial maintenance, including custodial supplies and cleaning chemicals.

• Familiarity with applicable health and safety regulations.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs./23 kgs.
