    Regional Sales Coordinator

    Location: Head Office, Lagos

    Reporting To: Business Head

    Job Overview:

    The Regional Sales Coordinator role involves tracking and analyzing sales performance across the assigned regions, ensuring alignment between field plans and actual performance, and providing comprehensive reports and dashboards to management. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator, adept at facilitating coordination among Area Sales Managers (ASMs), Regional Managers (RMs), warehouse personnel, and other departmental stakeholders for effective Management Information System (MIS) reporting.

    Key Responsibilities (KRA):

    1. Sales Performance Tracking:
      • Monitor and track primary and secondary sales performance across all five regions.
      • Analyze sales data and trends, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.
    2. Field Execution Monitoring:
      • Track ASM field plan vs. actual execution to ensure alignment with company sales strategies.
      • Ensure ASMs are actively engaging with channel partners and following planned visit schedules.
    3. MIS & Reporting:
      • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards for management, including sales reports, inventory status, and channel performance.
      • Provide Plan vs. Actual reports for sales, revenue, and execution metrics.
      • Maintain a database of sales activities, channel network updates, and performance KPIs.
    4. Channel Strength & Network Monitoring:
      • Maintain updated records of channel partners, dealer performance, and active distributor networks.
      • Identify weak areas in channel distribution and coordinate improvement plans with RMs.
    5. Cross-Functional Coordination:
      • Act as the central point of contact between ASMs, RMs, warehouses, and other departments.
      • Ensure smooth communication flow regarding stock availability, sales target progress, and order fulfillment.
    6. Review & Meeting Coordination:
      • Consolidate and present last week’s updates and key findings to Regional Managers before their review meetings with the CEO.
      • Assist in preparing presentation materials and reports for sales reviews.
    7. Compliance & Process Adherence:
      • Ensure all sales processes, field activities, and reporting align with company guidelines.
      • Identify and report irregularities in sales execution or policy adherence.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPI):

    1. Sales & Execution Metrics:
      • Achievement of sales targets vs. projections (Region-wise).
      • Improvement in secondary sales growth (% YoY).
      • Percentage of ASMs achieving planned field visits vs. actual.
    2. Reporting & MIS Accuracy:
      • Timeliness and accuracy of weekly/monthly sales dashboards.
      • Adherence to reporting deadlines without data inconsistencies.
    3. Network & Channel Strength Updates:
      • Number of active and performing channel partners vs. total.
      • Channel coverage growth over time.
    4. Stakeholder Coordination:
      • Level of engagement with ASMs, RMs, warehouse, and sales leadership.
      • Quality and effectiveness of review meetings conducted.
    5. Operational Efficiency:
      • Reduction in stock-out situations due to better forecasting.
      • Process improvements suggested and implemented in MIS & tracking.

    Required Skill Set:

    1. Sales & Business Acumen:
      • Strong understanding of regional sales operations, secondary sales tracking, and channel management.
      • Knowledge of dealer/distributor network performance monitoring.
    2. Data Analysis & Reporting:
      • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or Tableau for sales analysis and dashboard preparation.
      • Experience in preparing Plan vs. Actual reports and sales tracking systems.
    3. Coordination & Communication:
      • Excellent ability to coordinate between ASMs, RMs, warehouse teams, and management.
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate smooth stakeholder interactions.
    4. Process & Compliance Adherence:
      • Ability to ensure ASMs follow company guidelines for sales execution and field visits.
      • Detail-oriented approach to monitoring adherence to company sales policies.
    5. Technology & CRM Knowledge:
      • Experience in using CRM tools, SAP, or any Sales MIS system is an advantage.
    6. Presentation & Meeting Management:
      • Ability to prepare concise reports and PowerPoint presentations for review meetings.
      • Comfortable presenting data and insights to management.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Education: Bachelor\'s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, or related fields.(MBA Preferred but not mandatory)
      • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or Tableau for sales analysis and dashboard preparation.---These Skills are mandatory.
    • Experience: 5+ years in a sales coordination, sales operations, or MIS reporting role in FMCG, Automobile, or related industries.
    • Preferred Industry Exposure: Sales experience in distribution-led businesses (FMCG, Automotive, Lubricants, Consumer Goods, etc.).
