Professor, BSc Artificial Intelligence Program at The Nigerian University of Technology and Management (NUTM)

Role Overview

We are looking for a qualified and passionate individual to serve as a Professor in our BSc Artificial Intelligence program. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background, a proven record of research and publication, and significant teaching experience at the undergraduate level. The position involves teaching, research, and service responsibilities, with a focus on contributing to the growth and development of the BSc Artificial Intelligence program.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Teaching undergraduate-level courses in the BSc Artificial Intelligence program.
• Providing leadership in curriculum development, ensuring relevance to industry needs.
• Mentoring and guiding undergraduate students in their academic and professional pursuits.
• Engaging in cutting-edge research and contributing to the university's research objectives.
• Contributing to the academic community through committee work, program development, and other university service activities.

Qualifications

• A Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a closely related field from a reputable institution.
• An outstanding record of scholarly publications in top-tier journals and conferences.
• Extensive experience in teaching and curriculum development at the undergraduate level in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, Natural Language Processing, Robotics & Intelligent Systems, AI Ethics & Governance, Computer Vision, or Generative AI.
• Proven ability to mentor and supervise undergraduate students.
• Active involvement in professional organizations related to Artificial Intelligence.
