Desk-Based Research Report 

• Comprehensive review of existing literature on MECR  
• Analysis of available data on trends in Nigeria 
• Existing gaps for intervention  
• Establish the criteria for data collection site selection 

Month 2 

Primary Data Collection Report 

• Support gender-sensitive primary data collection across 10 states 

Month 3 

Primary data analysis 

• Survey results and analysed data from identified locations 
• Disaggregate by gender, age, and vulnerabilities 

Month 4 and 5 

Final Research Report 

• Integrated desk and field research findings with recommendations for Policy and community-level actions 
• Drafting of gender-sensitive policy recommendations  
• Support with facilitation of a national reflection workshop 

PERFORMANCE INDICATORS FOR THE EVALUATION OF RESULTS:  

• Timely submission of deliverables.  
• Quality and comprehensiveness of reports and materials.  
• Effective facilitation of workshops and trainings.  
• Integration of gender considerations in all outputs.  
• Stakeholder feedback and validation of findings.

Qualifications

DUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR SKILLS REQUIRED:  

• Advanced degree in Environmental Studies, Migration Studies, or related fields.  
• Proven experience in climate migration research and policy development.  
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.  
• Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, gender-sensitive reports.  
• Familiarity with Nigeria’s socio-political and environmental context.  

TRAVEL REQUIRED:  

• Travel to identified data collection sites within Nigeria.  
• Participation in workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
