    Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer

    Organisation Overview

    • Our client is a licensed security services company backed by a leading real estate and infrastructure development group.
    • The organisation currently provides security services across a portfolio of residential and commercial developments and is strategically positioned to expand into broader security, risk management, and integrated protection services.
    • With increasing demand for professional private security solutions across Nigeria, the business is entering a significant growth phase focused on market expansion, capability development, technology adoption, and diversification of service offerings.
    • The Board is seeking a visionary and commercially driven Managing Director to lead this transformation.

    The Opportunity

    • This is an opportunity to build and lead a next-generation security services organisation.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming an established security operation into a recognised industry player with a diversified client portfolio, scalable operating model, and reputation for excellence.
    • The role requires a leader capable of combining strategic vision, commercial execution, operational discipline, and stakeholder engagement to create sustainable growth and long-term enterprise value.

    The Managing Director will be expected to:

    Build:

    • Strengthen governance, operational systems, service quality, compliance frameworks, and organisational capability.

    Grow:

    • Expand the business beyond existing mandates and develop a sustainable pipeline of commercial opportunities.

    Diversify:

    • Develop new service offerings, strengthen market positioning, and drive innovation through technology-enabled security solutions.

    Lead:

    • Build a professional, performance-driven organisation capable of long-term growth and market relevance.

    Key Deliverables:

    • Deliver sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
    • Expand the organisation's client base across key sectors.
    • Strengthen operational performance and service delivery standards.
    • Lead strategic partnerships and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
    • Drive technology adoption and innovation.
    • Build a strong leadership team and organisational culture.
    • Position the business as a trusted provider of security and risk management services.

    Leadership Responsibilities:

    • Lead the development and execution of corporate strategy.
    • Drive business development and revenue generation initiatives.
    • Maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
    • Ensure regulatory compliance and sound corporate governance.
    • Provide financial stewardship and performance oversight.
    • Champion organisational culture, talent development, and succession planning.
    • Report regularly to the Board on business performance and strategic priorities.

    Candidate Profile

    • The ideal candidate will be a commercially astute executive with a demonstrated ability to lead growth, transformation, and operational excellence.

    They will possess:

    • Significant leadership experience within security services, facilities management, defence, law enforcement, risk management, or related sectors.
    • Proven success in business development and client acquisition.
    • Strong financial and commercial acumen.
    • Experience leading organisational transformation initiatives.
    • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
    • Executive presence and exceptional communication capability.
    • A track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Security Management, Law, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
    • MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
    • Minimum of 15 years' professional experience, including senior executive leadership.
    • Demonstrated experience managing growth-oriented businesses.
    • Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and operational risk management.
