Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Manage the financial planning process, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning.
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, including financial statements, budget variance analysis, and cash flow projections and all donor reporting requirements.
Manage the organization's cash flow and ensure adequate funding is available to meet operational needs.
Collaborate with program teams to ensure financial goals are aligned with overall program objectives.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement and develop and implement strategies to achieve financial goals.
Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers.
Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure their continued professional development.
Requirements and Qualification
Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA, ACA), A Master's Degree with a minimum of 8 years’ experience and four years in a managerial position
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial analysis, and budgeting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Skills in procurement, budgeting and donor reporting.
Proficiency in the use of SAGE 50, Excel and Quickbooks and other accounting software.
Experience working with non-profit organizations and knowledge of donor regulations.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
