    Cook and Baker

    Cooks

    Food Preparation & Quality

    ·The cook will ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and standards, paying attention to taste, texture, and appearance. They also oversee food preparation and ensure proper cooking techniques.

    Kitchen Management

    ·The cook leads and supervises the kitchen staff, delegating tasks and providing training and support.

    Sanitation & Safety

    ·The cook is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. They also ensure proper food handling and storage practices.

    Menu planning and cost control

    ·He/She must work with the management to create appealing and profitable menus, while also managing inventory and controlling costs.

    ·The cook works with the supervisor to creates menus, develops new recipes, and adapts existing ones.

    ·They also plan daily specials.

    Budgeting and financial reporting

    ·The cook must be able to create and manage budgets

    Baker (With Bread Experience)

     Baking and Pastry Production

    • Prepare and bake a wide range of breads, pastries, cakes, pizza, and desserts, adhering to recipes and quality standards.

    Recipe Development:

    • Develop new recipes and seasonal menu items to keep the offerings fresh and appealing.

    Decorating:

    • Decorate pastries and desserts use various techniques, such as piping, glazing, and chocolate work, to enhance their visual appeal.

    Quality Control:

    • Ensure that all baked goods meet quality standards in terms of taste, texture, appearance, and portion size.

    Plate Presentation:

    • Arrange and present desserts on plates in a visually appealing manner.

    Inventory and Ordering

    • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
    • Ordering: Order necessary ingredients, supplies, and equipment in a timely manner to ensure smooth operations.
    • Waste Reduction: Implement efficient production and inventory control practices to minimize waste. 

    Menu Planning

    • Contribute to menu planning by suggesting new items and considering customer preferences, seasonal ingredients, and profitability
