    Business Development Manager

    • The Christian Health Association of Nigeria (CHAN) is a leading faith-based healthcare network dedicated to improving access to quality healthcare in Nigeria and beyond. As CHAN expands its footprint, we seek an exceptional Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth, secure sustainable funding, and manage our business ventures.

    Key Responsibilities

    Grant Acquisition & Donor Relations

    • Develop and implement a resource mobilisation strategy to secure funding from traditional (bilateral/multilateral agencies, foundations, and NGOs) and non-traditional (impact investors, private sector) donors.
    • Identify, write, and submit compelling grant proposals and business pitches.
    • Maintain strong relationships with existing donors and cultivate new funding opportunities.

    Business & Revenue Growth Strategy

    • Oversee and optimise the operations of CHANMED Table water, CHAN Guest House and give strategic direction to CHAN Medipharm to drive profitability.
    • Develop strategic partnerships to expand CHAN’s business ventures and supply chain reach.
    • Monitor market trends and recommend innovative business models for sustainability.

    Financial & Risk Management

    • Ensure compliance with donor regulations, reporting requirements, and financial accountability.
    • Identify and mitigate risks related to grants, contracts, and business operations.
    • Work closely with the finance and operations teams to ensure transparent budget planning and execution.

    Stakeholder Engagement & Representation

    • Represent CHAN in high-level meetings with donors, partners, and investors.
    • Establish collaborations with government agencies, international organisations, and private sector partners.
    • Drive visibility for CHAN’s work through networking, conferences, and fundraising events.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), International Development, Finance, Public Health, or a related field.
    • Experience: At least 7 years of progressive experience in business development, grants acquisition/management, or commercial enterprise leadership, preferably in the health or nonprofit sector.
    • Track Record: Proven success in securing large-scale grants, donor funding, or investment capital. Experience in managing revenue-generating enterprises is a plus.
    • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of donor funding landscapes, impact investing, supply chain management, and financial sustainability strategies.
