Job description

• Ensure the documentation of all financial transactions
• Collate all financial transactions, summarize, classify and produce periodic financial statements
• Produce other periodic reports as may be required to ensure effective and efficient operation of the company
• Manage petty cash and ensure that control measures are adhered to during disbursement.
• Ensure that control measures are adhered to in other company’ s operations.
• Liaise with external auditors for the preparation of yearly audited accounts.
• Liaise with the Tax Consultants to ensure the filing of period tax returns.
• Liaise with Legal Consultants to ensure that prompt returns are filed with Corporate Affairs Commission and other regulatory authorities.
• Liaise with the company bankers to minimize error in the monthly bank statements and prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements.
• Prepare and or ensure that the monthly payroll is prepared in accordance with laws.
• Follow up with the company trade debtors to ensure prompt payment.
• Coordinate periodic stock counts, documents and produce stock certificate.
• Advise the company on the risk management measures that protect the company’s assets.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
