Hospitality Accountant at a Prestigious Luxury Hotel

A prestigious luxury hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos is seeking an experienced Accountant with a strong understanding of hospitality finance. We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized professional to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Manage daily revenue reconciliation across hotel and restaurant operations.
• Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and petty cash.
• Process accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements.
• Monitor budgets and control operational costs.
• Ensure accurate inventory costing and stock reconciliations.
• Oversee payroll preparation and statutory deductions.
• Prepare and file tax returns while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Monitor financial controls and recommend process improvements.
• Work closely with departmental managers to ensure financial efficiency across operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years' accounting experience, within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with hotel or restaurant POS systems is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
