    Accountant

    Job Summary

    Blueprint Shelter is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to manage the company's financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide accurate financial reporting.

    The successful candidate will oversee daily accounting operations, monitor cash flow, support budgeting, and contribute to the company's financial health and decision-making.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounts.
    • Record and reconcile daily financial transactions.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Manage accounts payable and receivable.
    • Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow reports.
    • Process invoices, payments, and receipts promptly and accurately.
    • Prepare bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
    • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
    • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
    • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
    • Maintain proper financial documentation and filing systems.
    • Prepare payroll data and support salary processing where required.
    • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management.
    • Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in accounting or finance.
    • Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, or part qualification) is an added advantage.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Nigerian tax regulations.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
