Job Responsibilities
- To develop strategies to increase sales opportunities through direct marketing, identify new business opportunities, manage existing sales team and business accounts, also act as a brand ambassador.
- Also manage customer relationships to identify opportunities for e-commerce growth and develop strategies to increase sales opportunities
Marketing/Sales Plan Development:
Develop business marketing plans and champion implementation of such plans in coordination with Senior Management to achieve revenue goals, Assist in the company’s branding and media communication activities such as press releases, advertisements, marketing collaterals, and web site elements.
Analysis:
- Analyze the current and past budgets, expenses, sales, revenues and product deficiencies in order to provide recommendations for business growth, products sales and problem resolution; continually conduct research on the market to identify new business opportunities and make recommendations for capitalizing on these opportunities.
- Make recommendations to the Company based on your market studies about New Product Development (NPD) and champion the concept development, product/service development and marketing plans for new products/services.
Communication:
- Generate a database of prospects (individuals, companies, participating Vendors) and develop formal communication channels with them to apprise them of the advantages of the products or services available on the website.
- Ensure each lead is monitored and followed up on to close business deals.
- Develop creative and effective strategies for customer relationship management and customer retention to ensure repeat business. This will include interviewing them to get and log their feedback and incorporate these into the growth, marketing and new product development plans.
Budgeting:
Prepare the annual marketing budget which will include forecast for product line sales, category sales, business turnover and tracking the expenses against the budget, Develop in-depth knowledge about business development practices, marketing activities, prospective clients and industry trends.
Relationship Management:
Maintain a knowledge repository of clients, referrals, Vendors, prospects and presentations that will be catalogued in an orderly manner to ensure easy accessibility by other staff as required; supervise the client relationship management database and utilize it to manage customer contacts and mailing lists. Participate in industry forums, client discussions, and conferences as a representative of the organization, as and when required, hire, and train and guide the marketing and business development associates.
Required Qualification & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management or related fields. Masters/MBA degree will be an added advantage
- At least 3 years experience in e-commerce industry or 5 years experience in FMCG
- Should be a self-starter, driven and very goal focused
- Must possess strong ICT skills needed for database management in e-commerce, strong marketing flair, pro-active decision making, strong communication skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to engage sales management, marketing and finance.
- Able to clearly demonstrate an ability to engage wider teams.
- Experience of working within complex structures and is able to identify key stakeholders
