Job Profile:
This is a Manager position reporting to the Director Research, Measurement and Results with a dotted line report to the Gates Project Director. The successful candidate will ensure that routine tracking, data collection, analysis and documentation are utilized to showcase progress and success of the project. S/He will ensure that routine data collected from field implementation are collated and expeditiously entered into DHIS2 database. S/He will oversee the tracking, analysis and reporting of Maternal and Neo-natal Health (MNH) data from Gombe and Adamawa States. S/He will implement the project performance results framework, which includes planning, design and implementation of studies, surveys and related data and information collecting activities for the MNH. S/He will lead the monitoring and data quality checks on all project indicators, track project results framework indicators data, and disseminate M&E data and information regularly to stakeholders. S/He will build capacity of MNH project partner organisations and stakeholders to implement M&E.
Qualifications/Experience:
• Must possess a first degree in Sciences/Medical/Behavioural/Social Sciences or its equivalent in a relevant field.
• Must have minimum of 5 years post NYSC experience in implementing monitoring and evaluation of health and related programmes.
• Must have considerable expertise in mixed-methods (qualitative and quantitative) M&E and research. S/He must possess ability to analyse and interpret both quantitative and qualitative data to inform programming.
• Must be proficient in the use of SPSS, STATA, Epi Info or CS Pro.
• Knowledge of DHIS database software will be of added advantage.
• Experience with conducting monitoring visits, utilising checklist and other tools, including ability to develop M&E protocols are as tools as needed.
