Founded in 2002, the Global Fund is a partnership between governments, civil society, the private sector and people affected by the diseases. The Global Fund raises and invests nearly US$4 billion a year to support programs run by local experts in countries and communities most in need. Since 2003, the Global Fund has invested more than 1.4 billion dollars in the fight against AIDS, Taand Malaria in Nigeria.

    Senior Technical Advisor - Laboratory Services

    Job Description

    • In collaboration with the Project Director and STO Lab. Services provides leadership in implementing high quality laboratory services for AHNI including building laboratory capacity at health facility sites to combat HIV, TB, malaria and other infectious diseases, provides technical leadership and technical support related to the laboratory services and management component of HIV/AIDS care and treatment for the Nigeria bilateral project.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • Master's degree in Laboratory Sciences, Biological Science or related degree with 7 to 9 years relevant experience.
    • Or doctorate degree in laboratory sciences, biological science or related dree with 5 to 7 years relevant experience.
    • A minimum of 5 years experience in laboratory setting of which 3 must bp on a HIV laboratory management donor funded program.
    • Certification / license to practice as a medical laboratory scientist is required.
    • Experience in a clinical laboratory setting and working in a donor funded program is required.
    • Proven experience in project development, planning and facilitating technical training.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health system and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.
    • Familiarity with USAID and PEPFAR programs is as advantage.

    Technical Officer - High Tech Laboratory

    Job Description

    • Will provide technical officer be involved in the design, planning and implementation of molecular diagnosis including EID, viral load genotypic drug resistance and TB molecular testing technology according to national and international standards coordinate implementation of technical assistance to supported molecular laboratory in performing EID, viral load and TB molecular testing.,
    • Provides overall mentoring, monitoring, evaluation and supervision through correspondence, consultations and site visit to supported molecular laboratory.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • BSc in Laboratory Sciences or related field with 3-5 years post national youth service experience in the provision of laboratory support for HIV/AIDS.
    • Knowledge of advanced laboratory procedures, diagnosis and management related to HIV/AIDS care and treatment is required with some experience in an international development area preferred.
    • Certification of license to practice as a medical laboratory scientist is an added advantage.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health system and NGOs and CBOs highly desirable.

    Technical Officer - Core Laboratory/Quality Management

    Job Description

    • Provides technical expertise and assistance in implementing high quality laboratory services within the care and treatment project in Nigeria, including laboratory capacity development at project health facility sites.,
    • Will equally provide support to selected laboratories in preparation for SLMTA National Audit and WHO AFRO recognition with measurable improvement in Quality Systems management,
    • Provides oversight function and technical support on the implementation of HIV Rapid testing quality improvement initiative (HIV RTQII) project in the priority LGAs.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • BSc in Laboratory Sciences or related field with 1-3 years post national youth service experience and a minimum of 2 years experience in provision of laboratory support for HIV/AIDS.
    • Knowledge of advanced laboratory procedures, diagnosis and management related to HIV/AIDS care and treatment is required with some experience in an international development area preferred.
    • Certification of license to practice as a medical laboratory scientist is required.
    • Experience in Laboratory TB services is an advantage.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health system and NGOs and CBOs highly desirable.

    Associate Director - PCT

    Job Description

    • Provides technical leadership and support to the Director Prevention, Care & Treatment in the implementation of prevention (sexual and biomedical) and behaviour change interventions within the HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care & Treatment Department,
    • Ensuring the appropriate application of sound technical strategies and best practice,
    • Oversee the development of strategies for the design and implementation of HIV/AIDS prevention and behaviour change intervention among most at risk populations i.e. PLHIV, MARPs to reduce sexual transmission.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • MBBS/MD/PHD or similar degree with 5 to 7 years relevant experience with at least 5 years progressive experience working in the health or development field in Nigeria.
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in prevention services for HIV/AIDS.
    • Possession of an MPH or post graduate degree in a related field is an advantage.
    • Proven experience in project development, planning and facilitating technical training.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health system and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.

    Technical Officer - CHTB

    Job Description

    • Will provide technical support at state level to implement high quality care, treatment and support activities with primary focus on technical areas of comprehensive TB and HIV/AIDS programs including laboratory, pharmacy, logistics, prevention, care, treatment, TB, RMNCH, mitigation, monitoring and evaluation,
    • Will also support the STO to provide technical leadership and engage with stakeholders and as approved, represent the organization to stakeholder events.
    • S/he will also perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • MBBS/MD/PhD or similar degree with 1 to 3 years of progressive relevant experience in managing comprehensive TB and HIV programs in resource constrained settings.
    • Or MPH or MS/MA in relevant degree with 3 to 5 years of progressive relevant experience in managing comprehensive TB and HIV programs in resource constrained settings.
    • Or BS/BA in Pharmacy, Microbiology, Health Sciences, Monitoring and Evaluation, Public Health or in relevant degree with 5 to 7 years of progressive relevant experience in managing comprehensive TB and HIV programs in resource constrained settings.
    • For each band above, possession of an additional post graduate degree in a related field is an advantage.
    • Experience in project development with proven experience in the planning and facilitation of training is required.
    • Experience in large and complex donor-funded national health focused project is an added advantage.

    Job Description

    • Under the direction of the Senior Accountant, the Finance & Administrative Officer will be responsible for the provision of administrative and logistical services to the Finance directorate.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent, and 3 - 5 years relevant experience.
    • Or MS/MA degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent, and 2-3 years relevant experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in office management and administration.
    • CPA, ACA, ICAN, or any other relevant professional qualification is required.
    • Experience in managing financial records of donor-funded organizations, and familiarity with donor and local contractual procedures is an advantage.

    • University degree/HND or its recognized equivalent.
    • Familiarity with administrative and secretarial skills is an advantage.

    Project Driver

    Job Description

    • Under the direction of the Senior Administrative Officer, the driver shall provide a variety of transportation support to the project,
    • Will ensure proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through timely minor repairs, arrangements for major repairs, timely changes of oil, check of tires, brakes, car washing, etc

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • Secondary school leaving certificates, apprentice certificate or any other equivalent certificates with a minimum of 1 year experience.
    • Must have a trade test certificate and a valid driving license.
    • Must have expert knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
    • Experience as a driver mechanic will be an added advantage.
    • Experience with large complex organization preferred.
