    Assistant Finance Manager

    Job Description

    • Assist with the preparation of invoices, budgets, management of cash flow and making inquiries regarding purchase orders
    • Work as a member of the finance team providing management support to the Finance Manager for all accounting activities and manage reporting activities

    Responsibilities

    • Preparation of financial statement and reports.
    • Maintain financial security via internal controls.
    • Reconciliation of financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
    • Preparation of payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursement.
    • Budget preparation and trend analysis of actuals against budgets.
    • Maintain fixed asset register.
    • Assist Finance Manager with internal and external audits.
    • Execute general finance-related duties and is expected to cover for the Finance Manager in case of absence.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local financial and legal requirements and enforcing/ ensuring adherence to requirements.
    • Manage Month End procedures, maintain the fixed assets register and Prepare financial analysis.

    Expectations

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or relevant discipline
    • Certifications from ICAN or ACCA
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting (work experience in any of the “Big 4 Accounting Firms” or a multi - national entity)
    • Experience in accounting process enhancement and cost control
    • Working knowledge of Sage Evolution or other accounting system an advantage
    • Conversant with Nigerian Taxation system
    • Proven ability to work with department Managers in terms of budgets, financial controls etc.
    • Computer literate including Microsoft excel, Microsoft word etc.
    • Excellent communication, both verbal and written, skills essential.

    • Co-ordinate with Engineers, Architects and other Professionals in the planning and execution of project activities from start to finish within agreed time frame and in a cost efficient manner.

    • Negotiate and manage third parties and vendors during the execution of the project.
    • Develop a detailed project plan in phases to track progress.

    • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports to Management.
    • Ensure strict adherence to Health and Safety standards and report issues.

    • Facilitate to obtain relevant permits and licenses required from Regulatory Authorities.
    • Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs, and scheduling.
    • Prepare monthly reports, detailing progress and costs for top management.
    • Ensuring company HSE policies are correctly applied.
    • Maintaining good relations, represent and take care of company's interests while dealing with clients.

    Expectations

    • Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering or any other relevant field.
    • Minimum of 10 years' experience in construction or a Food processing factory.
    • Sound track records and verifiable references.
    • Certification in Project Management courses such as PMP or PRINCE 2.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
    • Good analysis and result interpretation skill.
    • Excellent organizational, prioritization and follow up skills.
    • Considerable problem-solving and decision making skills.
    • Managerial and leadership skills.
    • Ability to lead and motivate working teams.

    Draftsman

    • Create accurate and meaningful technical drawings from sketches and verbal instructions from initial stage to completion of a project.

    Responsibilities

    • Calculate dimensions, weight limitation and requirements in materials.

    • Produce revised rendering on drawings.

    Expectations
