    Tax Manager

    The Position

    • The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s tax compliance, advisory, and reporting obligations.
    • The role ensures full compliance with Nigerian tax laws while supporting business operations through sound tax planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage end-to-end tax compliance across all applicable taxes, including CIT, VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other statutory taxes.
    • Ensure timely preparation, review, and filing of all tax returns in line with Nigerian tax laws (The NTA inclusive).
    • Liaise with tax authorities and external advisors on audits, assessments, and queries.
    • Support the Finance team on tax implications of business transactions and financial reporting.
    • Monitor changes in Nigerian tax regulations and advise management on impact and compliance requirements.
    • Maintain proper tax documentation, schedules, and working papers to support filings and audits.
    • Provide guidance on tax risk management and ensure appropriate controls are in place.

    What You Bring

    • He/she must possess a minimum of 5 years core tax experience.
    • Tax experience in the financial services industry would be an added advantage.
    • He/she must have a good knowledge and understanding of the Nigerian tax laws (The NTA inclusive).
    • He/she must be a chartered accountant (ICAN) or a chartered tax practitioner (CITN).
    • He/she must be proficient in the use of Microsoft documents (excel, word and power point).
    • He/she must be analytic, creative and able to think on his/her feet & out of the box.

    Cloud Security Engineer

    The Role

    • The Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security controls across the organization’s cloud environments.
    • The role ensures secure architectures, proactive threat detection, and continuous compliance across AWS, Azure, GCP, and cloud-native technologies.

    What You Will Do
    Cloud Security Architecture & Engineering:

    • Design and implement secure cloud architectures for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
    • Implement Zero Trust principles, network segmentation, and secure landing zones.
    • Define and enforce cloud security baselines, hardening standards, and configuration policies.

    Cloud Security Operations:

    • Manage cloud-native security tools (AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Azure Defender, GCP Security Command Center).
    • Monitor and remediate misconfigurations using CSPM and CIEM solutions.
    • Conduct continuous security assessments and vulnerability remediation on cloud assets.
    • Support DevOps pipelines by integrating security tools (SAST and DAST).

    Identity & Access Management:

    • Implement and manage identity controls such as IAM, RBAC, MFA, and conditional access policies.
    • Review and enforce least privilege access for users, applications, and services.

    Threat Detection & Incident Response:

    • Analyze cloud-specific security alerts, investigate suspicious activities, and respond to incidents.
    • Support threat hunting and logging activities using SIEM/SOAR platforms.
    • Develop runbooks and playbooks for cloud-related incidents.

    Compliance & Governance:

    • Ensure cloud environments meet internal security policies, regulatory requirements, and frameworks such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, CIS Benchmarks, NIST CSF.
    • Conduct periodic cloud compliance audits and provide remediation guidance.

    Documentation & Collaboration:

    • Create and maintain security documentation including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and hardening guides.
    • Work closely with DevOps, Networking, Infrastructure, and other teams to ensure secure deployment of cloud workloads.
    • Train and guide technical teams on cloud security best practices.

    Requirements
    What You Bring:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field.
    • 5–7 years hands-on experience in cloud engineering or cloud security.
    • Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
    • Experience with cloud security tools: CSPM, WAF, API Gateway security, Firewalls, and vulnerability scanners.
    • Solid understanding of networking concepts: VPC, subnets, VPN, firewalls, routing, DNS, load balancing.
    • Experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, and PCI DSS.

    Preferred Certifications (Any 3 of the following):

    • AWS Certified Security – Specialty
    • Microsoft Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500)
    • Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer
    • CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH
    • CompTIA Security+, Cloud+

    Transaction Monitoring Officer

    Job Description

    • The Transaction Monitoring Officer is responsible for reviewing, investigating, and escalating unusual or suspicious transactions detected through the bank’s monitoring systems.
    • The role ensures compliance with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) AML/CFT Regulations, the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022, FATF standards, and other applicable laws to safeguard the bank from money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and sanctions breaches.

    Transaction Monitoring & Investigations:

    • Review daily alerts generated by the bank’s transaction monitoring system (TMS).
    • Conduct first-level investigations into unusual or suspicious transactions.
    • Document rationale for alert closure or escalation, ensuring an audit trail.
    • Escalate suspicious cases to the Compliance Manager for STR filing.
    • Monitor compliance with thresholds for Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs). 

    AML/CFT & Sanctions Compliance:

    • Conduct screening of customers, counterparties, and transactions against local and international sanctions lists (UN, OFAC, EU, NIGSAC).
    • Assist in identifying potential terrorist financing or proliferation financing activities.
    • Ensure transactions align with customers’ KYC/CDD profiles and expected behavior.

    Reporting & Record Keeping:

    • Prepare investigation reports for escalated alerts.
    • Support the preparation of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and CTR filings to the Nigeria Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU).
    • Maintain accurate records of investigations in line with regulatory requirements.
    • Complete Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Customer Business (KYCB) onboarding reviews for new customers & update existing customers, Political Exposed Person (PEP).
    • Establish and maintain an effective Customer Due Diligence/Enhanced Due Diligence risk rating and ensure ongoing assessments
    • Maintain the BO and PEP list

    Compliance Assurance & Risk Management:

    • Support periodic risk assessments of the bank’s transaction monitoring framework.
    • Identify gaps in monitoring rules or scenarios and recommend enhancements.
    • Contribute to compliance risk reporting (heat maps, dashboards, quarterly reviews).

    Training & Awareness:

    • Participate in regular AML/CFT training programs.
    • Provide feedback to enhance training for front-line staff on suspicious activity recognition.
    • Other compliance activities as may be assigned from time to time.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • % of alerts reviewed within SLA (target ≥95%).
    • % of escalated cases investigated and closed within the timeline.
    • Quality and accuracy of STRs/CTRs prepared.
    • Zero regulatory penalties are attributable to transaction monitoring lapses.
    • Contribution to the reduction in false positives through quality feedback.

    Requirements
    Education & Certifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
    • Certification in AML/CFT or Compliance (e.g., DCP, CAMS, ICA, ACCA, ACA, ACAMS ) is an advantage.

    Experience:

    • 2 – 5 years of experience in banking compliance, AML, or financial crime monitoring.
    • Hands-on experience with transaction monitoring systems preferred.

    Skills:

    • Strong analytical and investigative skills.
    • Good knowledge of AML/CFT laws, FATF recommendations, and CBN guidelines.
    • Attention to detail with the ability to identify patterns and anomalies.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
    • High ethical standards and professional integrity.
