    Principal Manager, Internal Audit

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct pre-payment audit in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Commission policies and procedures. 
    • Examine financial transactions for compliance with the Commission's policies and applicable laws and regulations. 
    • Evaluate financial and operational procedures to assure adequate internal controls are present. 
    • Develop, document, implement, test and maintain a comprehensive internal audit plan inclusive of timelines and milestones. 
    • Evaluate progress of the implementation of Audit plan. 
    • Design a system of internal controls to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and the Commission's policies and procedures. 
    • Design a risks identification framework. 
    • Design an effective data collection mechanism for activities of Internal Audit. 
    • Identify/evaluate the Commission's risk areas and make appropriate recommendation for improvement. 
    • Prepare necessary reports for the Commission. 
    • Work with External Auditors on statutory audit and compliance of the Commission's policies and other relevant regulations.

    Minimum Qualifications / Skills

    • BA/B.Sc./MBA in Accounting, Finance and other related fields.

    Senior Manager, Internal Audit

    Responsibilities

    • Reports to the Head, Internal Audit

    Job Description

    Principal Manager, Protocol

    Responsibilities

    • Report to the Head, Public Affairs Department  
    • Maintain and update a register of contact addresses of industry stakeholders  
    • Arrange Industry Relations activities of the Commission with other relevant units of licensees.
    • Coordinate events management for the Commission  
    • Liaise with vendors and user divisions the event planning process to ensure everything is in order.
    • Arrange general protocol matters between the Commission and other agencies, organisations and MDAs.

    Job Description

    Analyst I - Licensing

    Job Description

    • Reviewing applications for licenses, permits and other regulatory approvals granted by the Commission for activities in the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry.

    Principal Manager - Tariff and Rates

    Job Description

    • Assists with the process for the review of tariff filings and applications. 
    • Assists with the development and the review of existing tariff models. 
    • Undertake review of methodologies, polices, procedures and guidelines for regulating electricity tariff. 
    • Analyse the impact of various government tariff  policy directives on the financial sustainability of the market and proper advice to the Commission. 
    • Undertake studies to establish appropriate level of lifeline tariffs and make recommendations for the implementation of PCAF.

    Principal Manager, Corporate Planning Strategy

    Job Description

    • Receive, document and coordinate plans and propositions for actions and tasks to be undertaken by Divisions and Units of the Commission

    • Review and analysis of NESI Operators’ monthly reports on significant incidents/accidents in the power stations 
    • Collating and analysing incident notification reports submitted by the Gencos

    Analyst I - Software / IT Support

    Job Description

    • Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications. 
    • Investigate, diagnose and solve computer application and hardware related problems.

    • Review and recommend for Commission’s approval Distribution Expansion Plans submitted by Distribution Licensees. 
    • Monitor the implementation of Distribution Expansion Plans by the Distribution Companies. 
    • Monitor Distribution Assets Additions and Report to the Division quarterly. 
    • Liaise with Finance & Management Services/Market, Competition & Rate Divisions to review Distribution Assets additions in line with CAPEX provisions in the MYTO approved for the Distribution Companies. 
    • Monitor Load Allocations and Up-takes by the Distribution Companies and report variances for Commission’s further actions. 
    • Monitor compliance with the Distribution Code, Health & Safety Code, NESIS, and other Regulatory Instruments by the Distribution Companies. 
    • Regularly liaise with the Distribution Companies, relating to Distribution technical issues. 
    • Support the PM (Performance Monitoring) on the review, evaluation, and reporting of Compliance Performance Report of the Discos. 
    • Advise the Engineering, Performance, and Monitoring Division/Commission on any distribution issues. 

    Minimum Qualifications / Skills

    • First Degree & Master's in Electrical Engineering (Bias in Power Systems or Electrical Services).
    • Minimum years of experience: 12 years 
    • Team player, Work well under Pressure, Self-Starter
    • Modelling Applications, Project Management Software, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
