    Mechanical Technician

    Job Description

    • The Mechanical technician role installs, tests, inspects, maintains, repairs, overhauls and calibrates mechanical equipment, ensuring the equipment is maintained in compliance with procedures and industry standards.
    • The role is also responsible for equipment safety, inventory management and ensuring the System of Record remains updated with relevant maintenance-related information.

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver on work group goals, objectives and activities, understanding the operational workings of equipment, maintenance activities and processes to ensure seamless operations and minimal down time of critical equipment.
    • Identifying and resolving operational and technical problems involving mechanical equipment ranging from component level items such as pumps/seals to major rotating equipment such as Gas Turbine Generators/Compressors.
    • Safely executing routine and corrective maintenance and repair work
    • Maintain concise equipment records such as repair plans, torque values, lube oil analysis and repair history within the system of record.
    • Able to use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) – JDE Edwards E1 knowledge is desirable.
    • Function as a member of the emergency response team organization (ORT and Coxswain activities).

    Qualifications

    • BSc/ HND/ OND in Mechanical Engineering and related discipline
    • Successfully completed training as a Mechanical technician within the Oil and Gas or petrochemical industry.
    • Completed training in the mechanical craft trade/technical field e.g. Mechanical Technician, Rotating Equipment Field Service Rep. (FSR).

    Experience:

    • 5 - 10 years relevant post-graduation or equivalent post apprenticeship onsite experience preferably in the oil and gas industrial or engineering production company
    • FPSO experience is a MUST.
    • International experience in Nigeria, Africais a plus.
    • Experience working effectively in a multicultural team.

    Expertise:

    • Proficiency in Rotating and Fixed Equipment: Demonstrates extensive experience with gas compressors, gas turbines, diesel engines, pumps, cranes, and heat exchangers.
    • Analytical Skills: Capable of diagnosing defects in mechanical rotating and fixed equipment, formulating effective repair plans, and implementing changes in practice to prevent future failures
    • Complex Defect Analysis: Skilled in conducting thorough reviews and analyses of mechanical defects, especially when issues are complex and could result in extended downtime or LPO/flaring events.
    • Collaborative Approach: Effectively collaborates with leadership, subject matter experts (SMEs), and reliability analysts to develop comprehensive solutions.
    • Technical Interpretation: Proficient in reading and interpreting manuals, specifications, drawings, blueprints, design manuals, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
    • Effective Communication: Skilled in preparing clear and concise written and verbal reports as required.
    • Competent in the use of mechanical tools and equipment.
    • Process Safety Expertise: Knowledgeable in identifying and assessing process safety hazards and risks, with the ability to develop effective mitigation strategies.
    • Asset Integrity Management: Possesses a strong understanding of asset integrity, particularly in maintaining the integrity of dedicated systems.

    L&D Coordinator (Learning and Development Coordinator)

    Job Description
    Main Functions:

    • Develop and coordinate training programs for Production Operations Technicians and other offshore personnel to improve their technical skills and knowledge.
    • Collaborate with senior production staff to identify skill gaps and ensure the development of training materials to address operational needs.
    • Oversee the onboarding and induction processes for new offshore personnel, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and safety practices required for the role.
    • Ensure all training activities comply with regulatory and company standards, focusing on safety, operational excellence, and environmental considerations.
    • Track training progress and performance, maintaining records of completed courses, certifications, and skills development.

    • Training and Development Expertise: Ability to design, develop, and deliver training programs tailored to operational staff in the oil and gas industry.
    • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively to technical staff.

    Skilled HVAC Technician

    Main Function

    • We are seeking a Skilled HVAC Technician to ensure the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems on offshore platforms.

    Rope Access Technician - Level 3

    Job Description
    Main Functions:

    • Supervise and manage all rope access operations on offshore facilities (e.g., FPSO, drilling rigs) to ensure that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and regulations.
    • Lead and oversee rope access activities for high-risk operations, including inspections, maintenance, repairs, and installations in hard-to-reach areas such as structural components, pipelines, and equipment.
    • Develop work plans and risk assessments for rope access activities, ensuring that all potential hazards are identified and mitigated before commencing work.
    • Conduct rope access system inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards. Responsible for certifying the safety of rope access systems used by technicians.
    • Provide leadership and training for RAT Level 1 and Level 2 technicians, ensuring their compliance with safety procedures and operational standards.
    • Lead rescue operations in case of emergencies, ensuring that rope access rescue techniques are carried out efficiently and in a timely manner.
    • Ensure that all safety measures, such as fall protection and emergency response procedures, are in place and followed during rope access tasks.

    • 7+ years of total rope access experience, including supervision of teams, safety compliance, and complex operations in offshore or industrial environments.

    • Mastery of advanced rope access techniques, including rigging, rescues, and specialized installations.
    • Ability to perform complex tasks that require rope access, such as equipment installation, structural inspections, and maintenance work at height or in confined spaces.

    • Strong experience leading and supervising a rope access team.

    Valve Technician

    Responsibilities

    • Maintening all valve types (including but not limited to BDVs, SDVs, PSVs, manual valves, actuated valves)
    • Collaborate with onshore maintenance planning team and technical resources to effectively implement valve maintenance routines and analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness.
    • Responsible for maintaining a valve reliability program.
    • Coordinate overall valve maintenance, sparing and replacement needs across the facility.

    • Live on-site testing utilizing an assist lift device (AVK)
    • On-site servicing of steam safety relief valves.

    Profile

    • A High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
    • Diploma in instrumentation, electrical, electrical or mechanical engineering technology.
    • 6+ Working experience and professional experience
    • Previous field experience in an offshore environment
    • Strong knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within valve maintenance
    • Mechanical aptitude along with specific technical training on valves and valve repair is an asset.
    • Specific health and safety certifications will be determined by job requirements
