Job Description

1. Take ownership of audit engagements, leading the day-to-day fieldwork from planning to completion.
2. Ensure audit work is completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
3. Identify and assess potential financial, operational, and compliance risks.
4. Perform complex substantive testing and detailed financial statement analysis on higher-risk areas.
5. Conduct process walk through and evaluate the effectiveness of a client\'s internal controls
6. Carryout team supervision and development
7. Prepare or review financial statements for completeness and accuracy.
8. Assist with other audit-related projects and administrative tasks as needed.
9. Regular client communication and management
10. Carryout technical and administrative tasks
11. Perform other related duties as determined by Management from time to time.

Qualifications and skills

1. BSc/HND in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
2. Professional certification, such as ACA, ACCA, etc.
3. 2-3 years post qualification of progressive experience in an auditing role, including experience leading audit fieldwork in an external audit environment.

Technical & Soft skills

1. Strong knowledge of auditing standards and methodologies.
2. Proficiency in audit software, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Excel.
3. Experience with relevant accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of professional skepticism.
7. Leadership and team management skills.
8. The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.

The successful candidate is responsible for leading audit teams during the planning, execution, and reporting phases of audit engagements. This role supports the Audit Manager by overseeing daily operations, supervising junior staff, and ensuring that all audit work complies with professional standards and client requirements.

Job Description

1. Assist the Audit Manager in developing effective audit strategies and plans, including risk assessments.
2. Plan, scope, and budget individual audit activities to ensure completion within established deadlines.
3. Lead audit teams during fieldwork, ensuring quality standards are met throughout the engagement.
4. Perform detailed testing and analysis of financial data, transactions, and internal controls to identify any errors, anomalies, or risks.
5. Review financial statements and other data to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards, such as IFRS etc
6. Client and stakeholder communication and management
7. Team leadership and supervision
8. Perform other related duties as determined by Management from time to time.

Qualifications and skills

1. BSc/HND in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.

3. Relevant work experience, often 5–8 years, in an external audit environment.
