Job Overview

We are seeking a highly talented and dedicated Audit Senior. The successful candidate is a professional with several years of experience in the field who is responsible for leading smaller audit engagements and performing more complex auditing procedures. This role is a stepping stone between junior staff and audit management, requiring a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and client communication

Job Description

1. Take ownership of audit engagements, leading the day-to-day fieldwork from planning to completion.
2. Ensure audit work is completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
3. Identify and assess potential financial, operational, and compliance risks.
4. Perform complex substantive testing and detailed financial statement analysis on higher-risk areas.
5. Conduct process walk through and evaluate the effectiveness of a client\'s internal controls
6. Carryout team supervision and development
7. Prepare or review financial statements for completeness and accuracy.
8. Assist with other audit-related projects and administrative tasks as needed.
9. Regular client communication and management
10. Carryout technical and administrative tasks
11. Perform other related duties as determined by Management from time to time.

Qualifications and skills

1. BSc/HND in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
2. Professional certification, such as ACA, ACCA, etc.
3. 2-3 years post qualification of progressive experience in an auditing role, including experience leading audit fieldwork in an external audit environment.

Technical & Soft skills

1. Strong knowledge of auditing standards and methodologies.
2. Proficiency in audit software, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Excel.
3. Experience with relevant accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of professional skepticism.
7. Leadership and team management skills.
8. The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
9. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
