Rector at The Federal Polytechnic, Bali

• The Rector is the Chief Academic, Administrative and Accounting Officer of the polytechnic.
• The appointed person will be responsible for the daily management of Federal Polytechnic Bali and will exercise general authority over staff and students, subject to the control of the Governing Council.
• The Rector will also be responsible for discipline within the polytechnic and will provide academic and administrative leadership.
• As one of the Principal Officers, the Rector will support the advancement of technical and vocational education, research and community service.

Qualifications 

• Each candidate must hold a Doctorate degree from a recognised university or higher education provider.
• The PhD must be in a discipline offered within the Polytechnic Sector or the candidate must meet any other qualification stated in the Schemes of Service for appointment as a Chief Lecturer.
• The applicant must also possess either:
• A bachelor's degree with at least Second Class Lower Division or
• A Higher National Diploma with at least Lower Credit
• The qualification must be in a relevant discipline and must have been obtained from a recognised university, polytechnic or other approved awarding body.

Experience

• Each applicant must have at least 17 years of post-qualification teaching experience in tertiary education.
• At least 10 of those years must have been spent in a polytechnic or a similar Technical and Vocational Education and Training establishment.
• The candidate must also be a Chief Lecturer with at least five years of experience on that rank.
• An applicant must not be more than 59 years old on 6 January 2027.
• The candidate's date of birth will therefore be assessed against the date on which the office becomes vacant.
• Applicants should ensure that the date of birth stated in the application corresponds with the supporting records.
• The candidate must be a registered member of a relevant professional body recognised by the Federal Government.
• Evidence of the membership should be included among the application records.
