    Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

    Job Purpose

    • To design, document and implement tests to expose bugs, and work with teams to checkmate the recurrence of errors in order to meet high-quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage the QA process in the Engineering cluster and any other assigned tasks, using best practices and guidelines.
    • Work as part of a passionate continuous delivery team to ensure quality is driven into the heart of the development process from requirements definition through to delivery.
    • Employ Continuous Testing techniques to prevent quality issues during the development phase and ensure post-deployment satisfaction of internal and external customers. This can be achieved by ensuring compliance to agreed Engineering and Testing principles.
    • Design the automation test strategy, implement and maintain tests.
    • Establish and implement performance tests to report on system capability and limits.
    • Ensure security best practices for developed applications.
    • Find, investigate, track, reproduce and document bugs.
    • Co-ordinate software releases to ensure seamless deployments every time.
    • Collate team performance data and report periodically on testing efforts, test challenges and deployment activities to the Test Manager.
    • Work closely with the Test Manager to ensure improvements to QA activities and processes.
    • Work with stakeholders to continuously think about product performance engineering and seek to reduce production incidences and customer dissatisfaction.

    • To design, code, test, analyse and manage software programs and applications that drive the Interswitch’s strategy, products and third-party business.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assists other software engineers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications
    • Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, enhance and document software products and components develop by self and others as per the requirements and detailed design
    • Design and implement automated unit testing as required on a project
    • Works closely with the Team Leader, Business Analyst and Product Owner for understanding the functional and system requirements
    • Involves in task breakdown, provides reasonable work estimates and communicates deviations from estimates or work product in advance of deadline

    Business Development Manager - Merchant Acquiring

    Job Purpose

    • To develop and implement growth opportunities of Interswitch payment solutions and Services within and outside its country of coverage
    • To drive product feature enhancements and service platform optimization that creates unique long-term value for its value chain (customers / shareholders / markets)
    • To transform the Interswitch payment offerings across POS, WEB, QR and USSD into a robust digital financial distribution Ecosystem
    • To co-ordinate, manage and support the sales & account management structure with Sales Network (i.e. technical support, advisory services and lead conversion strategies that increases Interswitch’s revenue)
    • Grow existing market share, develop, and penetrate new market/ segments through value offerings to key high value and high volume merchant acquiring
    • Growth transaction volume across POS, WEB, QR and USSD channels through channel features and capacity building by working with product, project, developers, and other existing internal resources
    • Ensure service excellence to all acquired merchants and partners by engaging with the service and operations management teams on behave of the customers
    • Identify, research, development, implement, deploy, and manage new business initiatives across all market types to optimize channel usage and business value by owning merchants in these markets and its sub segments.
    • Develop intelligent, relevant and world class business documentations for market and merchant engagements as required by all relevant internal stockholders.
    • Acquire strategic partnerships that enables access to market and merchant clusters relevant to the business objectives and would contribute to business value both short term and long term
    • Liaise with all relevant stakeholders in the payment ecosystem where required to understand the payment landscape needs.  Also, ensuring full understanding of the business risks and putting the right model and processes in place to mitigate such risks.

    Business Development Responsibilities - Merchant Acquiring:

    • Develop strategies and implement same to deepen product penetration and increase product market share in Nigeria
    • Conceptualize, build business case and pricing models for the digital acquiring business portfolio
    • Find and assess business opportunities in assigned channels and markets
    • Develop and execute the delivery of an integrated payment Ecosystem
    • Analyze and guide sales network on quality leads to generated per product across applicable market sectors
    • Establish and maintain excellent working and process operations with matrix teams seamlessly  
    • Prepare detailed Business Requirement Documents for new products and liaise with relevant Groups to deliver market value through the product.
    • Work with the assigned Product/Marketing Team to deliver quality sales kits for the Sales Team
    • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
    • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations

    • Develop a rapport with strategic / key clients, set targets for sales Network and provide support that will continually improve the business relationship.

    • Communicating merchant/market requirements to colleagues internally and work with them to ensure that products are delivered per customer/market requirements and in line with agreed terms.
    • Identify networking opportunities, target market events and sales events that would provide positive impact to the sales bottom line.
    • Perform market research and analysis to monitor local environment for the emergence of new market segments and new merchant pool.
    • Provide feedback from merchants and market to meet market demands and generate business and product development ideas.
    • Keep abreast of trends and developments in digital financial services markets, digital acquiring, products features, best practices and operational excellence.
    • Learning what the competition is doing in terms of customer pricing, experience in the local market, their alliances, credibility etc.

    Education and Experience

    • Academic Qualification(s): Good first degree (preferably in a business-related discipline)

    • Provide proof-of-concept, yet production-grade infrastructure and automation code prototypes that set examples to the broader team regarding new technologies or design patterns.
    • Periodically review infrastructure code and direct systematic enhancements

    Position Requirements
    Formal Education & Certification:

    • University degree in the field of Computer Science or “STEM” major (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or related field.

    Knowledge & Experience:

    • A minimum of 12 years of technical experience along with 6 years of experience leading multi-discipline technical teams across multiple service types, ideally in payment and core technology environments.
    • A minimum of 6 years as software architect, especially for a large and complex software project.
    • A minimum 2 years’ experience delivering data and analytics solutions which address internal / external customer challenges, including architecting as-a-service models
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the development and deployment of modern machine learning, as well as experience driving and executing cloud and digital technology strategies.
    • Experience building and supporting complex, high-concurrency SaaS products, from the lead developer or architect role.
    • In-depth knowledge of various database technology including relational databases, real-time databases and NoSQL databases.  
    • In-depth knowledge with various coding language such as C++, Java, .Net, Javascript, Go and Python.
    • Experience developing for and managing Kubernetes clusters
    • Experience creating automated software development build pipelines
    • In-depth knowledge with various techniques and tools for implementing infrastructure-as-code and automations such as Ansible, Terraform and Chef.
    • Experience with the popular public clouds such as AWS and Azure.
