    Product Specialist (Genomics)

    Job Summary

    • Driving sales of high-performance genomic products and services in a defined territory '
    • Ownership of managing relationships within designated accounts and driving business results by promoting the company's Genomics portfolio
    • Partner with sales team to provide assistance with instrument demonstrations, seminars and roadshows and negotiations
    • Implement strategic sales plans to attain desired revenue objectives
    • Effectively prospect to find and close new opportunities in existing and new accounts
    • Develop and maintain strategic buying relationships with customers and manage the overall relationship with accounts
    • Focus on strategic products applications and solutions in strategic accounts across territory
    • Contribute to developing effective strategies and tactics that will enable the company to gain market share
    • Provide constructive feedback from customers to company to help guide continual development of products that more effectively address customer needs
    • Participate and be an active member in regional discussion groups and forums.
    • Understand Genomics in the Academic, Government, Not-for-Profit and Pharmaceutical industries and recognize trends that impact buying of company's products.
    • Participate in the planning and executions of genomic projects with customers.
    • Be abreast of technical issues across the territory and ensure prompt resolution by liaising with the concerned technical team.
    • Efficient monitoring of orders from order placement to delivery to the end user with the procurement team.

    Requirements

    • A first degree in Molecular Biology/Genetics or related discipline
    • Technical product portfolio sales experience in Diagnostics/Life Sciences industry is an advantage
    • Minimum of 2 years work experience in the life science space.

    Responsibilites

    • Providing operational support to the sales team, also responsible for inbound and/or outbound lead generation for new product sales
    • Sales forecasting, analytics, productivity, and other sales support functions
    • Strategic interface with Marketing team for effective execution of sales-oriented initiatives to deepen brand penetration Responsibilities

    • Outstanding oral and written communication skills

    Competency and Skill Requirement

    • Good knowledge and understanding of strategic marketing concepts, principles and  practices 
    • Prior experience managing team of product managers
    • Excellent problem analysis and solving skills
