    Industry Business Developer

    Key responsibilities

    • Develop new business relationships, generate, and negotiate new income for Industry Services.
    • Establish and maintain efficient business development and sales in Nigeria
    • Gather and analyze commercial information as to build market intelligence.
    • Share information from client visits with Business Unit Manager.
    • Present business cases to clients, especially the outsourcing model of value addition.
    • Identify cross selling opportunities for the different BV business lines.
    • Implement commercial strategy as per Industry Director and BU Manager’s requirements.
    • Regularly liaise with Regional Business Development manager to ensure strategic alignment with overall business development effort.

    Oversee the development and maintenance of marketing materials.

    Verification of Conformity Liaison Manager

    Job Description

    • Represent Bureau Veritas towards the authority and the business community of the contracting country (especially Ministries, Customs main and secondary offices, Chambers of Commerce, Associated National Standard Agency, importers and trading associations)
      • Participate to periodical coordination meetings with authorities.
      • Participate/ organize seminars for importers and other stakeholders.
      • Interact with the authorities to lift specific and unrealistic requirements > Promote BV solutions to the Authorities
    • Organize and follow up achievement of contractual obligations (trainings, periodical reports, payment of royalties)
    • Achieve quality and service delivery targets for any task performed locally.
    • Ensure local customer service: accurate information on procedures or files status, definition of necessary actions in coordination with the operational Network.
    • Develops sales by interacting with importers and ensures support to the sales Network as needed.
    • Keeps HO, informed about any official decision or new regulation related to VOC activities
    • Keeps HO, informed about any economical, political or social event with a possible impact on the VOC contract, including possible competition moves.
    • Prepare specific reports as and when needed by the HO management.
    • Manages potential complaints or claims from Authorities or Importers, in coordination with the operational Network and HO. Complaints must be handled as per CDG PG 06.
    • Follows up on requests made by BV to Authorities.
    • Issues periodic reports to Authorities, in coordination with HO.
    • Manages queries received from the operational Network related to local regulations and requirements.
    • Defends bureau veritas interests.
    • Perform any other functions as requested by HO management.

    Job Description

    • Performing classification/statutory of ships and offshore units in service according to DNS procedures
    • Performing survey of ships and offshores units outside classification according to DNS procedures
    • Performing classification/statutory surveys of new construction according to DT procedures
    • Performing Audits (ISM, ISPS, MLC2006….)
    • Respecting KPIs as DNS objectives
    • Performing external trainings
    • Searching for business opportunities.
    • Contacting local administrations.
