    Director of Administration

    Qualifications and experience

    • Candidates must possess a good first Degree in either Hospital or Health Services Management or Administration or The Humanities or The Social Sciences from a recognized University and evidence of completion of or exemption from the NYSC.
    • Candidates must have had 20 years cognate administrative experience in a Teaching Hospital or any other institution of similar standard as an Administrative Officer.
    • Candidate must have been Deputy Director of Administration on CONHESS 14 as at January 2021 and rotated through at least two core administrative departments in UCH or any similar Health Institution.
    • A Post graduate Degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
    • Proficiency in all Microsoft office applications
    • Fellow or Associate of the Institute of Administrators of Nigeria IHSAN or any other relevant professional certificate is an added advantage.

    Responsibilities

    • In line with Decree No 10 of 1985 now referred to as Cap 463, the Director of Administration shall be responsible to the Chief Medical Director for the day to day administration of the Hospital.
    • The prospective candidate shall function as Secretary to the Board of Management as well as to advise the Board of Management through the Chief Medical Director on policy matters relating to the position of efficient, effective and administrative services expected of a Teaching Hospital of international repute. In addition, the successful candidate shall perform such other functions as directed by the Chief Medical Director from time to time.

    The Curriculum must include the names and addresses of three referees one of whom must be within the rank of Directorate cadre. Recommendation letters from the referees should be sent directly to the above address by the referee.
