• At least 2 years relevant experience in general HR practice in a structured organisation.
• Full Knowledge and grasp of core Human Resources competencies.
• Proven Leadership skill and capacity.
• Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office skills like Word, Outlook, and Excel, Power point

Job Description

• Oversee all bakery operations, including production, staff management, inventory control, and financial reporting.
• Lead and motivate the bakery team to achieve excellence in product quality, presentation, and customer service.
• Plan and schedule production to ensure timely and efficient production of bakery items, such as breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods.
• Maintain and monitor product quality standards, ensuring adherence to recipes, portioning, and presentation guidelines.
• Manage inventory, including ordering and receiving ingredients, supplies, and merchandise, and conduct regular inventory audits.
• Train and mentor bakery team members, provide feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Manage schedules, labor costs, and payroll to optimize staffing levels and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and licensing requirements.
• Collaborate with the management team to implement marketing initiatives, promotions, and special events to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards throughout the bakery.
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency in bakery operations.

Qualification and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree qualification from a recognized higher institution
• Certification and exceptional knowledge of culinary arts or baking and pastry arts are advantageous.
• Minimum of 7-12 years of experience as a bakery manager, preferably with experience in managing a large bakery or a portfolio of bakery preferably in retail (chain business).
• Knowledge of procurement of bakery equipment and handling the full maintenance of such.
• Strong knowledge of different baking techniques.
• Possession of a food handler's license.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
