GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION    

Laundry Attendants are professionals who are employed in many capacities to support the operations of laundromats, hotels and other facilities. Laundry workers use various techniques that help clean clothing as well as other textiles.    

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES    

• Sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding clothing and other textile items.
• Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures.
• Tracking which items belong to whom.
• Keeping an updated inventory of laundry detergents and sewing kits.
• Tracking maintenance and repairs on laundering equipment.
• Ensuring that the laundry area remains clean at all times.
• Anticipating and responding to guest queries, concerns, and complaints.
• Other duties that may be assigned by the management.

EDUCATION & TRAINING    

• High school diploma or equivalent is advantageous 
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferable

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE    

• Minimum of 3-5 years professional experience in similar role.

SKILLS & ABILITIES    

• Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Basic arithmetic skills.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Personable disposition with a knack for customer service.
• Available to work shifts and on weekends.
• Other duties as assigned.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES    

• Clean apartments, public areas, rooms and other work areas so that health standards are met.
• Clean rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture, using vacuum cleaners and /or shampooers.
• Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal designated areas.
• Carry linens, towels, toilet items and cleaning supplies, to the laundry.
• Sweep, scrub, wax and /or polish floors, using brooms, mops and /or powered scrubbing and waxing machines (if necessary)
• Dust and polish furniture and equipment
• Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, complimentary items and bathroom items.
• Report to FACILITY for major repairs in apartments
• Daily inspect, report the conditions of items cleaned in apartment 
• Follow up observation with request for repairs or replacement to ensure the apartments are in sellable condition.
• Check Television pictures.
• Check intercom condition 
• Check Air-condition performance
• Run water for 2 minutes for every vacant apartment to ascertain the water pressure and its color.
• Always ensure the placement of laundry bag and tariff in every closet.
• Forward every lost and found items found in the apartment to housekeeping office for proper documentation  

EDUCATION & TRAINING    

• Minimum of a SSCE certificate.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE    

• A minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in similar role.

SKILLS & ABILITIES    

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
•  Ability to use initiative to work alone with a team.
• Ability to read, speak and write English

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION    

This focus of this role is to Prepare meals in the kitchen according to the company’s recipes or tastes, handling all meals for the Food and beverage department. Prepare and serve food as required, creating new menus and using skills for preparing new delicacies.    

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES    

• Preparing food according to menu.
• Stock, organize, and clean kitchens and cooking utensils.
• Shop for or order food and kitchen supplies and equipment.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenace of cookig utensils.
• Ensure that all purchased items are immediately unpacked and stored in the right places as soon as they arrive.
• Ensure that food is well preserved i.e wrappring correctly in plastic bags, grease wrappers etc as necessary, using plastic containers for freezing purposes.
• Pay adequate attention to garnishing and presentation of food.
• Plan and prepare food for parties, holiday meals, luncheons, special functions, and other social events.
• Direct the operation and organization of kitchens and all food-related activities, including the presentation and serving of food.
• Learn, create and explore new menus.

EDUCATION & TRAINING    

• Possess a certificate from a reputable hospitality school or culinary school.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE    

• 5 years’ experience in similar field.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Cook must be healthy, neat, knowledgeable and ready to learn.
• Must have an eye for detail.
• Be Resourceful.
• Able to follow instruction.
• Cook is expected to be flexible and adaptable.
• Must have a good memory (quick to respond and remember instructions).
• Economical when cooking(not wasteful), yet generous when serving.
