Warehouse/Tally Assistant at Global Village Healthcare Initiative for Africa (GHIV Africa)

Job Purpose

Conduct accurate tallying of commodities and provide support in stacking and physical inventory activities to optimize the accuracy and efficiency of commodity management.

Warehouse/Tally Assistant Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Supervise the loading, off-loading and stacking of the commodities and assist the Storekeeper to keep updated records on stock cards, and/or computer inventory lists.
• Adhere to established standard guidelines for the meticulous maintenance of both physical and digital records.
• Guarantee the prompt and regular repair and maintenance of the warehouse facilities together with the Warehouse officer.
• Collaborate with the Warehouse officer in the recruitment process, monitor attendance, and ensure timely payment for daily workers fulfilling logistics requirements.
• Ensuring the streamlined movement of products in and out of the facility, optimizing spatial utilization, and upholding strict control and accountability for goods throughout all stages.
• Ensure that all warehouse activities strictly adhere to established processes and procedures, comply with quality management systems, adhere to dangerous goods regulations, and align with industry best practices.
• Regularly update stock record cards to maintain accurate and current inventory information.
• Conduct routine inventory inspection and submit report to the Warehouse In-charge in a timely manner.
