    Technology Sales Manager

    Role Summary

    • The Technology Sales Manager will drive revenue growth through new client acquisition, strategic account development, and channel partnerships across Nigeria and Africa.
    • This role requires a highly experienced enterprise technology sales leader with deep expertise in telecom infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, ERP, and digital transformation solutions.
    • The ideal candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with technical knowledge to engage C-level executives, position complex solutions, and close high-value deals across industries including BFSI, Fintech, Retail, FMCG, Telecommunications, and Public Sector.

    Key Responsibilities & Duties
    Sales Strategy & Execution:

    • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across target sectors (BFSI, Fintech, Telecom, Retail, FMCG, Public Sector)
    • Drive the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and closure
    • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of enterprise opportunities
    • Position tailored technology solutions including:
      • Mobile Core Networks (2G/3G/4G/5G)
      • Cloud services and hybrid architectures
      • Cybersecurity solutions
      • ERP and enterprise applications
      • Data analytics and AI-enabled platforms
    • Achieve and exceed assigned revenue targets
    • Expand into new markets across Africa through direct and channel sales

    Channel & Partner Development:

    • Establish and manage relationships with resellers, system integrators, telecom operators, and OEM partners
    • Negotiate channel agreements and joint business plans
    • Drive partner-led sales initiatives and ensure partner performance
    • Enable partners through training, solution support, and go-to-market alignment
    • Ensure compliance with distribution channel policies

    Client Relationship Management:

    • Engage C-suite executives and senior stakeholders across enterprises
    • Conduct needs assessments and deliver solution presentations and proposals
    • Build long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
    • Serve as the primary point of contact during the sales lifecycle
    • Ensure high customer satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities

    Market Research & Insights:

    • Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape
    • Identify emerging opportunities in telecom, fintech, and enterprise IT
    • Provide market intelligence to guide sales strategies and product positioning
    • Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, and industry forums

    Collaboration & Solution Delivery Support:

    • Work closely with technical, presales, delivery, and marketing teams
    • Ensure proposed solutions are feasible and delivered successfully
    • Support proof-of-concept initiatives, technical workshops, and product demonstrations
    • Facilitate smooth transition of mature accounts to account management teams

    Sales Reporting & Forecasting:

    •  Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline status
    • Provide regular forecasts, performance reports, and business updates
    • Track KPIs and recommend actions to improve sales effectiveness
    • Manage sales budgets and ROI on business development initiatives

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

    • Revenue and quota attainment
    • New client acquisition and market expansion
    • Growth in channel-driven sales
    • Pipeline health and forecast accuracy
    • Customer retention and satisfaction
    • Successful closure of high-value enterprise deals

    Required Qualifications & Experience
    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
    • Master’s degree or professional certifications are an added advantage

    Experience:

    • Minimum 10 years of experience in enterprise technology sales or business development
    • Proven track record of selling complex IT and telecom solutions
    • Experience working across African markets
    • Strong background in channel sales and strategic partnerships
    • Demonstrated success engaging senior executives and decision-makers

    Technical Expertise:

    • Telecom infrastructure and mobile networks
    • Cloud platforms (Azure, Oracle, hybrid environments)
    • Cybersecurity solutions
    • ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle EBS, SAP)
    • Enterprise IT architecture and digital transformation

    Key Competencies:

    • Strategic thinking and commercial leadership
    • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
    • Strong presentation and communication ability
    • Relationship building and stakeholder management
    • Market analysis and data-driven decision making
    • Self-driven with ability to work independently
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment

    Preferred Certifications (Optional):

    • ITIL, Oracle, SAP, or Cloud certifications
    • Presales or solution architecture credentials
    • Project management certification

    Ideal Candidate Profile:

    • This role is best suited for a senior technology sales professional with extensive experience in enterprise solutions, telecom infrastructure, and channel management, capable of delivering substantial revenue growth and expanding market presence across Nigeria and Africa.
