Business Development Executive at a Reputable Company

• Drive new business development (identify and prospect) and expand existing client relationships.
• Manage and grow existing customer accounts through excellent relationship management.
• Prepare and submit competitive quotations for ocean freight, air freight, customs clearance, trucking, warehousing, and project logistics.
• Negotiate freight rates, pricing, and commercial terms with customers and service providers.
• Respond to requests for quotations (RFQs), requests for proposals (RFPs), and tenders.
• Collaborate with operations, customer service, finance, and customs teams to ensure efficient execution of customer shipments.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities to support commercial decision-making.
• Conduct regular customer visits, presentations, and business reviews to strengthen client relationships.
• Ensure profitability by maintaining target margins on all commercial proposals.
• Support accounts receivable by following up on outstanding customer payments and ensuring compliance with agreed credit terms.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for management. 
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales opportunities using CRM systems.

Qualifications & Skills

• 2-5 years prior experience in the shipping and logistics industry
• Strong business development and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and relationship management abilities
• Ability to collaboratively work in a fast-paced environment.
• A degree in logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
