JOB SUMMARY:

Our ideal Radio Producer is one who can adapt to a fast paced environment, has a passion for Radio and storytelling, possesses a curious mind,  is articulate and possesses the  clarity of thought to produce world class  programs for the station.  Our ideal candidate will understand the importance of adhering to our editorial standards which are in line with global best practice. He or she will have an existing relationship with  media practitioners and newsmakers and will possess the ability to keep building working relationships with relevant stakeholders. Having a network across the African continent is an added advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To identify the biggest stories of the day in Nigeria, pitch ideas and source for appropriate resource persons to tell stories effectively and cover all angles.
• To identify and generate quality interviews based on happenings in our areas of primary focus, Nigeria and the African continent.
• To research and gather information to create compelling content that aligns with the target audience and station’s format.
• Plan and organize production schedules, book guests, and coordinate with on-air talent and technical staff. 
• Record and edit  both audio and video content when needed .
• Operate studio equipment and handle any technical issues that may arise during live broadcasts.
• Direct on-air talent during live broadcasts, guiding them on content, timing, tone, and delivery to maintain a cohesive and engaging show.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in mass communication or a related field
• 3 – 5 years of experience
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
