    Procurement Officer

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Overseeing and supervising employees and all activities of the purchasing department.
    • Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures.
    • Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, products and services to be purchased.
    • Review and analyses all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
    • Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
    • Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase, pricing records and other important data
    • Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
    • Creating and maintaining good vendor/supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
    • Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
    • Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
    • Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports.
    • Ensure that the products and supplies are best quality.
    • Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development.
    • Work with team members and procurement manager to complete duties as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required for the Job

    • Must be a graduate from B.Sc./HND on any other related discipline.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a procurement officer or related position.
    • Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems.
    • Supervisory experience.
    • Ability to analyse problems and strategize for better solutions.
    • Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts.
    • Capacity to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
    • Accurate and precise attention to detail.
    • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to complex, evolving work conditions and environments.
    • Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.
    • Goal-oriented, organized team player
    • Attention to detail.
