Reports To: Accountant / Head of Operations
Monthly Salary: 100,000 Naira
Work Schedule: Monday – Saturday (may include weekends/public holidays as required)
Location: Kaura, Abuja.
ROLE OBJECTIVE
To ensure efficient management of inventory, accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of goods in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) warehouse environment, while maintaining transparency, accountability, optimal stock levels, and full compliance with company policies.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
INVENTORY RECEIVING & VERIFICATION
- Receive incoming stock deliveries and verify quantities, quality, and specifications against delivery notes, invoices, or purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damages, shortages, or expiry dates and report any issues immediately.
- Properly label, tag, and record all received items in the inventory system or approved documentation.
STORAGE & WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS
- Organize and store goods in designated locations to ensure easy access, proper rotation (FIFO/FEFO), and optimal space utilization.
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, safety, and hygiene standards in the warehouse areas.
- Support in picking, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch or sales orders promptly and accurately.
- Monitor stock levels and alert supervisors on low stock, overstock, or fast-moving items.
INVENTORY ISSUANCE & CONTROL
- Issue stock to sales, production, or other departments based on approved requisitions.
- Record all stock movements (receipts, issuances, transfers, returns) accurately in the system or manual logs.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts, cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies with records.
RECORDKEEPING & REPORTING
- Maintain accurate daily records of inventory transactions, stock levels, and variances.
- Prepare reports on stock status, movements, and expiries for submission to management.
- Ensure all inventory documents are properly filed, traceable, and available for audits.
CONDUCT & ANTI-FRAUD RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle company goods and inventory with utmost integrity and honesty.
- Do not borrow, lend, divert, or use company stock for personal purposes.
- Report any suspected theft, damage, fraud, or irregularity immediately.
- Avoid collusion with suppliers, staff, or others in manipulating records, quantities, or quality.
- Unauthorized removal of goods or falsification of records will lead to immediate dismissal and possible legal action.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain punctuality, neat appearance, and adherence to company dress code and safety gear.
- Comply with all health, safety, hygiene, and operational standards, including proper handling of FMCG products.
- Perform other duties assigned by management, such as supporting loading/unloading or basic maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of OND in Purchasing & Supply, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
- 1-3 years’ experience as a storekeeper, warehouse assistant, or in inventory management (FMCG experience preferred)
- Proven track record of reliability and inventory handling
