Perishables Procurement Officer at a Reputable Company

A prestigious luxury hospitality brand located in Victoria Island, Lagos is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially astute Procurement Officer (Perishables) to manage the sourcing and supply of fresh food items and other time-sensitive inventory across its operations.

Role Overview

The Procurement Officer (Perishables) will be responsible for ensuring consistent quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery of fresh produce, meats, seafood, dairy, and other perishable goods in line with the brand’s fine-dining and guest experience standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and negotiate with suppliers of fresh produce, meats, seafood, dairy, and specialty items.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality, hygiene, and food safety standards.
• Monitor market trends and price fluctuations to secure best-value purchases.
• Maintain optimal stock levels to avoid spoilage or stock outs.
• Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and quality checks.
• Work closely with Executive Chefs, F&B Managers, and Finance teams.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in procurement within hospitality, restaurants, or food service.
• Strong knowledge of food sourcing and perishables management.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• High attention to detail and integrity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory systems.

Monthly salary is N150,000
