    Pizza Chef

    Job Summary

    The Pizza Chef is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality pizzas according to the company’s recipes and standards. The role involves managing dough preparation, ingredient quality, oven operation, and ensuring food safety compliance while maintaining speed and consistency during service.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings daily according to standard recipes.
    • Operate and maintain pizza ovens, ensuring correct cooking times and temperatures.
    • Monitor ingredient freshness and stock levels, reporting shortages promptly.
    • Ensure pizzas are cooked and presented to high standards in taste and appearance.
    • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pizza station, complying with food safety regulations.
    • Work with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
    • Assist with menu development and introduction of seasonal or specialty pizzas.
    • Adhere to portion control and minimize food wastage.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as a Pizza Chef or in a similar culinary role.
    • Knowledge of pizza-making techniques (traditional, thin-crust, deep-dish, etc.).
    • Familiarity with different ovens (wood-fired, gas, electric).
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.

    Preferred Skills

    • Creativity in developing new pizza recipes.
    • Teamwork and communication skills.
    • Time management under pressure.

    Education & Experience

    • Culinary certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a professional kitchen.
