Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines
• Ensure food quality, taste, and appearance meet established standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times
• Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations
• Minimize food waste and control portion sizes
• Collaborate with Line Manager to ensure smooth daily operations
• Assist in menu planning and development (where applicable)
• Train and supervise junior kitchen staff as required
• Handle special dietary requirements and guest requests professionally

Requirements / Skills

• Proven experience as a Chef in a professional kitchen
• Culinary qualification or relevant training is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP preferred)
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Team player with good communication skills
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Passion for cooking and continuous improvement.
