    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a highly skilled Data Clerk with advanced Excel expertise to manage program datasets, maintain data quality, and generate structured reports. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical skills and the ability to independently manage Excel-based data tasks without supervision. This role is ideal for individuals experienced in data management, reporting, and large dataset handling and proficiency in Excel functions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Data Management

    • Accurately enter, update, and maintain program data in Excel databases.
    • Organize and manage large datasets ensuring accuracy and consistency.
    • Clean, validate, and reconcile data to identify errors or inconsistencies.
    • Maintain secure and well-organized digital records.

    Excel Data Analysis & Reporting

    • Develop and maintain advanced Excel spreadsheets and reporting templates.
    • Analyze datasets and generate routine and ad-hoc reports.
    • Create charts, dashboards, and data summaries for program monitoring.

    Data Quality Assurance

    • Conduct routine data quality checks and verification.
    • Reconcile discrepancies between datasets and reporting systems.
    • Ensure compliance with internal data management procedures.

    Program Support

    • Provide timely data reports to program staff.
    • Support monitoring and evaluation activities through structured data tracking.
    • Assist in preparing reports for management and stakeholders.

    Required Qualifications

    • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Information Management, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field
    • Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in data entry, data management, or reporting. Demonstrated experience working with large datasets in Excel. Experience supporting program monitoring or research projects is an advantage.
    • Technical Skills (Critical Requirement): Applicants must demonstrate expert-level Excel proficiency, including Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts, VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, INDEX & MATCH, Nested formulas, Conditional formatting, Data validation and filtering, Data cleaning and transformation, Building structured reporting templates
    • Candidates must be able to create and manage complex Excel spreadsheets independently without supervision.

    Optional Qualifications – Additional Experience Advantage

    • Experience with monitoring and evaluation systems
    • Familiarity with Power BI, KoboToolBox, DHIS2, CommTB or similar data systems
    • Experience working in health programs, NGOs, or donor-funded projects

    This role is strictly for DATA CLERKS with STRONG MICROSOFT EXCEL EXPERTISE.
