Job Summary

• A Mixologist is a professional bartender who specializes in the art of mixology.
• Mixologists combine liquors and other ingredients in order to create unique and flavorful cocktails.
• They must have an in-depth knowledge of a wide variety of beverage recipes and be creative in their approach to mixing drinks.
• Mixologists must also possess excellent customer service skills and be able to handle a high-pressure working environment.
• Additionally, they must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties

• Prepare and serve cocktails and other beverages
• Interact with customers, take orders and suggest drinks
• Maintain the bar area and keep it clean and organized
• Check customers' identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails according to recipes
• Follow safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Upsell drinks to customers when appropriate.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an OND qualification with 2 - 3 years relevant work experience.
• Excellent knowledge of cocktail recipes, alcohol and liquor types, flavor profiles and garnish techniques
• Ability to work with a variety of equipment including shakers, blenders, and various other tools
• Strong understanding of customer service and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere
• Outstanding communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and carry heavy bottles, trays and other equipment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
