Management Accountant at MOJEC/CLOU Meters Company

Job Scope 

• Operational Targets Preparing reports, budgets and financial statements, budgetary control, forecasting income and expenditure and liaising with external audit 
• Supporting the Head of Finance in budget development, budgetary control, forecasting and financial modelling 
• Working closely with the department heads to develop the annual operating budgets, forecast and the periodical reforecasts 
• Providing accurate and timely financial and management reporting, including analysis of variances against budget 
• Meeting with budget holders regularly to monitor performance, investigate major variances and develop forecasts 
• Preparing and updating the cash flow forecasts and monitoring results Assisting in the preparation of financial commentaries in reports to the board of directors Working closely with internal customers to ensure that all income and costs are captured 
• Taking a leading role in preparation of the annual financial statements (the statutory accounts) in line with Inte rnational Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), liaising with external auditors and compiling year end schedules for the annual audit. 
• Recommend, maintain and constantly review a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate le vel of control over management accounting activities.

Required Qualifications 

• Minimum of First Degree.
• MBA or relevant Master’s Degree.
• Relevant professional certifications e.g. Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
• Minimum of 7 years relevant experience.
