    General Manager

    Location: Maryland, Lagos

    Job Brief

    • We are looking for a self-motivated and results-driven Estate Manager to direct and manage our organization's properties and people; to also develop and implement effective business strategies and programs.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure the Facility Manager is delivering to the principles and practices of facilities operations, maintenance, and management. Review and enhance best practice Facility Management services across all existing clients
    • Marketing of properties of the organization
    • Assist the Facilities Managers in decision making if requested and solving problems by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions at minimum cost
    • Ensure that best practice and improvement initiatives are effectively shared and communicated
    • Carry out regular reviews of contract performance against budget and plans. Review, implement and evaluate remedial action
    • Develop and maintain a continuous improvement mindset to service delivery that generates “added value” to the business
    • Continuously review key performance indicators (KPI's), best practice, and review benchmarks
    • Allocate manpower for Projects, determining workload, delegating assignments, and training, monitoring and evaluating performanceDevelop and implement a training program for all staff
    • Investigate and define problem areas within the Project sites, conduct occasional site tours and prepare reports recommending measures for improving our service to the customers
    • Carry out any corrective or disciplinary actions
    • Develop a strategic growth plan with agreed operational budgets with the Managing Director including a business development strategy to maximize both internal opportunities across the company and external FM opportunities in the market
    • Present regular reports to the Managing Director, identifying performance against targets and recommendations for performance improvement within the business
    • Completion of annual appraisals of Facilities Managers and Project staff ensuring that they receive guidance, support and recognition of their development needs through regular appraisals, reviews, and personal development plans.

    Requirements

    • First Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or any other relevant field
    • Proven Experience as a Manager within a Real Estate or Facilities management environment (minimum of 7 years) encompassing team leading and management skills
    • Thorough technical understanding of Facilities Management
    • Social Media Marketing Skills
    • Strong leadership qualities
    • Excellent communication & presentation skill.
